Chankast Utilities in Progress!

I found over *link removed* It seems that someone is making addon utilities for Chankast like cheats and something called SpeedPig to help slower computers run games better. Now I checked this time and there are no illegal links or anything of that sort.

He is also developing dual shock support as a utility as well for the emulator! Kryso has made support shock for Callus previously!

Currently here is the progress chart..

1. Speed Pig, for speed setting. 90%
2. Cheat, for Cheat. 50%
3. ForceFeedback, for the dualshock. 10%
4. VMSManager, for Manage the VMS. 100%
5. ConfigureRegion, for setting the region. 100%
6. SnapIt, Snap pictures with hot key ALT+s. 95%
7. BugReport, link to here. 100%

Some information about Speed Pig, what it does is that it decreases the refresh time, it doesn't exactly improve the speed of your pc though. Each program has a delay time, not the same as frame skip, between each frame. What he does is, he improves the time up time. This makes the game substantially faster while being emulated as you can see the remarkable speed of the FPS in Screenshot 1 below.

You will find the first downloads for these hacks with Chankast only here on 1Emulation.com! Currently Kryso is setting up a webpage here on the site which will have further information. For screenshots, click the links below.

These are all 100% real and have been verified by us. We even have recieved a beta to further review it! Check back here soon for more information.

Here's a pic of that SpeedPig thing in action! Check out that FPS!! Finally I will be able to play games properly! There are two more pics that you can find there.

Hmm, I do think the" speed pig" is just a fps limiter, not a boost ...So I wonder if that could be true.

I like the pig pic Yeah, I'd imagine it's just a limiter.

The cheat system has been completed! They are going to release a cheat finder today to help add to the list of cheats when they make their first release!

Here's a pic of it at work.

So...but it works. The Cheat Assistant has been released but I'm can't post the link since it will probably get removed anyway.

Can the cheat client edit the whole range of the DC's memory? I'm doubting it since the emulator could very well not have the memory in a linear fashion. If it were, it would be nice to change the region register and the video cable register.

i read at the official chankast english forums that one of the guys who was a beta tester for these utilities says that if you use speedpig, it will increase the speed of the sound to something that you cant really listen to.. i hope in a future chanka release they make a frame skipping option if its implementable without ruining the sound

Yeah, I read about the sound speed up on their forum and on EmuTalk. But for a first release it ain't half bad. And about the cheat thing, they are going to release a guide soon so we know what the hell we're doing.

Hmm...there seemed to be a bug in the first release because of a crc problem. It's now been fixed and all the option should work now. You can find it at the same place, http://emutalk.net/showthread.php?t=20913.

You have to completely download Chankast again to apply the fix. Basically you have to do it all over again with the new version and make sure your using a clean version of Chankast.
