Weird problem....games won't start

Ok well yesterday Chankast was just working fine but just now when I tried it, it boots into the bios and asks for the time twice, then when i choose play, it just does the same thing ask for the time twice and repeats. I'm trying multiple games and it still doesn't work. I don't know why it's not working all of a sudden.

Try to delete the vms file in your chankast and restart chankast. It will create a new vms file and your game should run again.

I have the same problem, though this is an odd error.

In my inital DL of chanka, I didn't have this error. I mounted the image with daemon tools, selected the drive and all went well.

I then dled the newest version and still works just fine (extracted it in the same folder as the original chanka was), though chanka wouldn't read my joypad inputs for some reason so I had to resort to joy to key in order to use my pad.

However to test it out, I reDLed the new version of chanka and extracted it to a different folder. I set up everything as it was before, and yet I get this error now as well. Which is odd, since the same version of chanka works just fine in the original folder, but in this new folder.... not so well. Same mounted drive, same everything as far as I can tell. I've tried to delete the vms file and it still didn't work. Tried to copy of the vms file from the folder that works to the folder that doesn't and still no luck.

While I do realize that I could just use the folder that works. That won't help others that have this problem if we can't understand what is causing it, thus how to fix it.

So has anyone else encounted this error and found a way to fix it?

Off topic BTW, I too am having glitches in Street fighter 3 3rd Strike with the boxes and such, I've tried to turn off both AA and AF but to no avail.

I guess more or less I'm asking if these were the errors that were supposed to occur due to the AA or AF? Or this is currently the limit of the emulation.

I had the same problem at first. You need to get the dc_flash.bin file and put it to the Chankast directory. I think you only have the bios file but you need the other file too. Chankast will create that file if it isn't there, but i think that it doesn't work properly. It is weird that this thing has happended all of a sudden for you, maybe your file got corrupted some way. Anyway, that's the way I fixed my problem.

I had the same problem and fixed it in 3 steps:
1 : delete the hole folder of chankast
2 : restart the computer (it's not a joke )
3 : extract chankast again
I'm sure it will now work, but of course don't forget the 2 BIOS files

somehow your dc_flash.bin got jammed, mine happened because i set the whole chankast directory to "not read only" so I screw it up

just get it again
