you really should use Alcohol to brun the image. No ****ing modes and no errors.

Incase anyone wants to know why Chankast only plays games using the VGA box option, here is why. As with most programs, and most emulators, by default things like registers that you don't know about for one reason or another are zero. Coincidentally, the Dreamcast video register determining the output, when set to zero it is VGA output. for composite we want it to be set to 3. So, as you can imagine, implementing a video output config to Chankast should be easy, so the authors will more than likely get around to adding it if you just wait. No need to do half assed hacks to enable VGA.

when i burned using the default mode, it failed burning. But when i had to do something drastic and incredibly difficult like *gasp* changing burn mode to raw dao (using the drop down box), it burned fine, but it didn't play fine. I still got the AV cable error, even after editing the image. A later burn with disc juggler worked fine, though.

Seriously, disc juggler is the best program you can ask for when burning DC isos, especially if they're in disc juggler's own format of cdi. All you got to do is click on a tab, change a mode, and you're done.

Well, i'm still getting multiple "IO errors" when trying to HEX-patch or IP.bin-patch Echelon's "Skies". Any ideas?

You guys do not need to burn a boot disk or burn the game... I'm going to tell you how to get this %100 working. It took me awhile to find out but now it works.

1) Download Soul Calibur you will then get this file when u extract it Soul caliber.cdi

2) Mount Soul caliber.cdi with Daemon tools

3) Run Chankast and make sure you goto [options][configure drive] and set it up on your daemon drive

4) This is what fixed the av error for me, simply goto [options][cable type]and select[ntsc]

5) In Chankast goto [run][start]

enjoy - Aaron

Thank you Aaron, I'm sure you had good intentions but in all honesty, your post is kinda pointless:

1. We have a strict policy against downloading games, for obvious legal reasons. And yes, even if you own the very same game, it's still illegal to download it. Unless your local laws are completely different than those of where these forums are hosted.

2. There's no need to reply to 3 and a half year old posts. These people don't care anymore.

Anyway, welcome to the forums, feel free to ask around if you have any questions yourself of course, but please get acquainted with the rules
