I'm running Windows 2000 and Windows XP 64-bit Edition. Neither of these OSes boot games. I know what I have works because it boots fine on my dad's Windows XP computer. I tried copying a few dlls but after some disassembling, cd_rom.dll seems to pose a problem: it imports from kernel32.dll.

windows xp 64 bit... do you have a 64 bit processor?
Chankast was built on a 32bit processor (im guessing) and so its doubtful it can support the 64bit instructions at this time.

You forget that the 64-bit OS for the Athlon machines has a 32-bit emulation layer. No 32-bit programs I have don't run on XP-64. 16-bit ones, on the other hand...
![]() It's not the 64-bitness that is the reason it won't run, it's something else and it's really odd. |
