Hi,
I just got a new quad core Q6600 rig w 2GB of RAM and a GeForce 8800GTS. I decided to give Kingdom Hearts a spin using PCSX2 .9.4 and it's running GREAT! However, the models seem to flicker alot (disappear and reappear), especially Sora. Is there a fix for this??? Otherwise the game runs fast and is 100% stable, major props! :thumb:
I'm running Windows Visa Ultimate 32-bit with the ZeroGS KOSMOS .97.1 with Resolve Hack #1 and Bilinear Filtering. I have tried turning AA on/off in both PCSX2 and my nVidia Control Panel but the character models constantly flicker. Not a game breaker but if anyone knows of a fix it'd make my holiday! :emb:

try gsdx9 0.11.0 it works with minor graphics problems or the new gsdx10 with support of directx 10

Hmmz... thanks for the reply. Alas, I tried GSDX9 and GSDX10 and with each plugin the walls and floors seem to be completely invisible. http://www.geocities.com/doommarine2003/gsdx.jpg

Could you provide us with a screenshot (or even a video) of the flickering? I'd like to see it happen, then I'll try to think of a solution.

are you using vu frameskip with gsdx i think that will cause some graphic errors.

Yeah, probably might cause artifacts. I suggest using frame limiter, it fixes stuff like what it does in Budokai 3.
Or, sometimes it can flicker because you're running it in fullscreen.

I had the exact same problem with zerogs I posted a topic a while back but no one could come up with a solution. I eventually just switched to gsdx9 and it works almost perfectly now.

I too had several problems with KH. At the beginning I had the same problems as the threadstarter. After I changed some settings (I think the frame skipping, or better the disabling of the frame skipping was most important here) it worked fine, but the text pop ups didn`t show. Then I updated to the new version, and here they showed, but when I load an old state, they don`t show again. Then I had the problem with the game freezing in the cutscene with the hero`s eye (even in the beta build), but only once. Oh and at the very beginning when the path up to the first boss appears, I couldn`t go up there. And finally: sometimes the picture freezes while everything else still works (so I can run around and jump, but the picture stays the same). Sometimes after a few seconds this is solved, sometimes it is not.
But then I`m a noob at emulating PS2 games and haven`t gotten any one to work perfectly, so I guess there will be something wrong in my options. I`ve also opened a FFX thread, since I can`t get that to work as well, it always freezes on me. But noone could help me there yet, and since I can`t bump it, I think it is overseen quickly...

Problem solved! It seems that the GSDX10 plugin had invisible textures because I was loading save states made from the ZeroGS plugin. I finally tried loading a save game from the memory card with GDSX10 and the game it running flawlessly! No flickering, no missing textures, and I even got past the "eye"! Thanks again for the help guys!
