View Full Version : Sound problem in Chrono Cross..

Somehow the sound speeds up sometimes on some screens like on the world map.

My config:
Pete's OpenGL driver 1.54
Eternal SPU Plugin 1.10
ePSXe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.40

I used the ePSXe own sound driver but its always gives that fast music, and pete's sound driver gives very bad and weird sound.

Anyone know or has the problem also?

Are you sure the game doesn't speed up too?

Btw, set the "fine tune" option in the eternal spu to 0, and enable the SPU irq.

Be sure to have put the frame limiter ON in the gpu plugin :)

The FPS limit works, thx ALOT ;)

btw whats the optimum fps limit anways?
I use 50 fps now

And about the config i used the standard default settings before you tipped me with some things :)

okay, glad to hear things work now.
Since chrono cross has just had ntsc versions (us and jap) the appropriate fps would be 60, and don't forget to set the country settings to "ntsc" (options>country>ntsc)

since you have a great videocard, i'd suggest those settings:

happy new year :)

edit: oh yeah, I've just ticked the framebuffer read box in the special game fixes.

Hmm i just got 4 options with the filtering?
What version you got of Pete's OpenGL?
or you use D3D?

Oh yeah, it's the latest version w/ smoothed sprites filtering options and framebuffer read fixes: the 1.55 one.

grab it here for example:

make an iso from the cd (cdrwin works perfectly here for example), there won't be any slowdowns due to cdrom access.
and play from it.

Hope that'll work

mm, try changing the fsaa level (2x or none), and even play @ 800x600 maybe?
