Oh my god is getting better and faster! Now has the DirectInput plugin!

Here is the changelog:

Probably already known, but the DirectInput plugin is giving the -2 error. This release is fantastic, by the way! :D

Can anyone tell me what the multisample does?

Async operations (whatever it is) still automatically turns off for me. Or does my card just not support it?

Something which is probably a minor bug, but which is starting to annoy me more and more is that the audio plugin can't remember what I set the volume to.

probably is your videocard, i think lino said something about that, but i don't understand, your vga isn't even that old like the gfmx440 64mb... it should support at least ps1.4 i believe? let lino explain XD because i don't know what's wrong.

Well I doubt it's that...unless it has to do with cards which have Pixel Shader 3 support as mine only has Pixel Shader 2 support (the single biggest drawback of the card).
Also the very first build which had openGL allowed me to use it...unless it was just not propperly built back then.

Whoa Labyrinth (yes just plain old Labyrinth sigmax, not deep labyrinth) does not start and crashes the emu.

Edit: Hmmm I think the Auto savetype selection got broken, I just loaded Need for Speed carbon and got the common error when the wrong save-type is selected..it worked before on auto...may also explain the crash on Spectrobes I just got and the crash on Labyrinth.

Edit2: I think there may be a problem with adding one of the plugins? I added all the plugins from the previous versions (like avi capture and wifi) to this build...then I removed them because I though they may be creating problems...crashing continues so I deleted the config file and everything is fine now...must have got corrupted somehow by turning wifi on or one of the other plugins.

i believe that the minimum is 1.4 in your card. but anyway, it should run nds games fine, it's just matter of lino develop more the opengl plugin. now, old cards that doesn't have pixel shader will suffer like gf mx440.

Hmm I just made my regular changes to the settings and it causes immediate crashes....what on earth is wrong?

I changed the language, I ticked all the openGL properties, I set the audio level, I set my controls. I closed the emu. I loaded the emu and loaded spectrobes...Crash. Not touching the options makes it start fine...

I also tried turning off the opengl changes I made again ...but no luck...this warrants further testing...please ignore my previous crash reports and concentrate on this.

hmm...I forgot also changed the folders.....maybe that's causing the crashing? going to test further.

no, gamepad is supporting. Lino tolds me but I figure it out and now I have the same error as Ledah for gamepad supporting. Yes, wifi is off or on and still got the same error. DirectInput is a gamepad supporting, I think. Something's not right.

update your wifi plugin, savestates are working fine here with the wifi plugin enabled.

so are battery saves after loading a state.

i reported something along these lines in 1.0.1.8 so its more likely actually editing the options then the folder pane itself.

if you have not cleared your ini since 1.0.1.7, DO SO., this may fix a great many issues.

It's always loaded sigmax, it's just got depth test issues (needs to be turned off otherwise everything is an assortment of flickering 3D triangles and blocks) and is missing some major lighting (the whole may always has the fog of war effect).

Found some ghosting on Burnout legends.

I also keep on getting the freeze no$gba used to have on sepctrobes...no idea how you are running it sigmax...and yes I have deleted the save file.

yes it load but is not playable :cry: btw set the save type to EEPROM 512Kbits on spectrobes ;) and use savestates if you gonna play cause when you load the screen is black :dead:

Same here.

I am using a usb converter that supports PS2, XBOX, and GC controllers that I purchased from Wal-Mart. :D

They works perfectly on ALL EMULATORS expect iDeaS.

first i've got to congratulate to this awesome release
the speed is excellent now and i havent seen an single crash yet

but i got a graphical glitch in PokemonDiamond, that im pretty shure, wasn't there before
in the battlescreens the opponent always happens to have the same color palette as the player/playerpkmn
i've tried changing some settings, but couldn't get rid of it

so I'm asking if anybody else encountered the same or something similar

the speed is really great, but this version is crash frequently for me, exemple, in the middle of allways racing of mario kart crash, when i got the first key on zelda, in mario64 too, crash on all games =/

that mx4000 will certainly be a bottleneck when the 3d emulation starts getting better.

1. after you exit a building, instead of the fade in effect, it first shows a screen with you standing outside the building then it flashes black and then it shows you exiting the building like it should do.
2. Poketetch is not updated when pokemon are healed until you leave the pokemon centre.

What controller do you use ? You are using SP2 right ? Many of us are not able to do that. Many errors for mostly -2 and -9 for us.

I guess we will wait for NHervé then.

yes i use SP2 but i think that is not a problem;) i test with two plug and play controller Genius MaxFire G-12U Vibration :Dand Genius MaxFire G-08XU no Vibration:(

I just noticed that its now 1.0.1.9 and not beta. :lol:
Thats a great release. I just have a little problem with Pokemon. At the beginning it was pretty smooth, but in the middle of the game it suddenly changed and got much slower. I have no idea what i did wrong. I also tried to set the Frameskip lower in order to get it smooth again, but all I managed was that he showed it smooth but horribly slow.

For DS games i prefer the Keyboard too. It makes me a bit nervous to change all the time between Gamepad and Mouse.Too bad that there is no way to control the Touchscreen without the mouse.

i have a problem with the metroid prime, the game runs perfectly but have two bugs, one the aim becomes crazys and i have to enter on morphball, and the other one is, some doors simply dont open when i shot, i have to shot a hundred bullets and the door make me angry, the game is playable, but have one time that i have to run and the time is over and the door dont open and i become crazy hahahahahha

i don't think restarting has anything to do with it.

its actually bogged down by scenery mostly, when in town is when you get the worst performance.

Question does anyone know why the emulator is extremly horrible with the sound?

Yoshi's island ds is one of the games or is it that the plugin isn't as advanced yet? If that's the case couldn't a alt be used?

Although Ideas doesn't support joypad. I got that joykey to work correctly. and ideas is the only emulator that i know that doesn't have the sand glitch.

I have slight problem with IDeaS
Both Pokemon and Custom robo do not save for some reason. It show the save process. But it never loads it.

I tried the no$gba version. speed is perfect but the sand glitch is there on 1-3.
I found out about the joytokey just a little while ago. I used it and works good but the sound qualiy is kinda bad.

now i'm not complaining about the emulation honestly all of these people are doing a hell of a job.

Hi I'm Yoshiking. A big big fan of your Ds emulator. I have seen some good progress on the emulator and i sit patiently on each and every update. You master the sound on the emulator which i ended up using in my flash movie thnx to you.

I would like to report a small bug found in Yoshi's island ds. Mainly on levels 1-3 & 1-7. I checked it out and it wasn't a rom error but more of a emulator problem.

When Yoshi runs from the tap tap on the 1-3 level. Yoshi ends up in a area with some sand where he has to throw a egg to reveal a spring and jump up to continue but here is where the bug will come in. Yoshi can walk right through the sand where in reality he's not supposed to go past it. I attempted to use the egg to try to destroy it but the egg only went through and bounced off the nearing wall.

once again I admire the work you have done with the Emulator and rom compatiablities. Super mario 64 ds and New super mario bros actually runs pretty well even though there is lag but that's only expected with the 3d sprites and stuff and i know the nogba is a long way before it actually getting 3d down pack.

Keep up the good work on the emulator and i hope you find enough time to fix the problem.

O yea I just tried Neonds. Man the speed is absolute perfect. it even beats Nogba Yoshi's island ds speed but with no sound and the bug applies on the neonds as well

I try to run Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow by using iDeaS 1.0.1.9. It just crash... But why iDeaS 1.0.1.9 beta didnt crash. Weird...:hdbash:

Yeah, weird. It didnt crashed on me. Yes, I am using 1.0.1.9. Maybe you can try to delete .ini and try again ? :)

lol on Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow just select the corect save type EEPROM 512kbits :p

anyway use version 1.0.1.8 cause the last version has a bug on the second level read on the top of page 5 :D

512Kbits = 64KB (512/8)
64Kbits = 8KB

No luck with the merge layer bug but i will give an example

the bug is on 1.0.1.8 and 1.0.1.9 but not on 1.0.1.7

That would apply if this were No$GBA. But it's not. We are talking about iDeaS here, who uses the 4/64/512 EEPROM save types.

So, EEPROM 64KBits is still EEPROM 64KBits.

Got a possible bug and hope somebody here can help. I am playing Pokemon Pearl and everything seems to be going fine except when I try to go underground. I get a screen that says there is a WiFi comm problem and to hit the a key to go back to the last save point, but when I do, the emu crashes and freezes. I have the following.

Pent 3 1 gig speed (plays somewhat slowly but I can deal with that)
384 meg of ram
Invidia GX 6400 vid card with 512 meg of ram
SB audigy sound card (the music is a little choppy but, again, I can cope)
Windows XP home (sp2)
Ideas 1.0.1.9
Diamond and Pearl roms.

I use the roms because I can see the computer screen better then the postage stamp size screen of the DS that I have (have to use reading glasses to use the DS now, and they give me a headache)

Can anybody help me? Is there some setting or plugin I need. I am not a techy person when it come to the Debug function. I use the EMU only for playing the roms.

the WiFi plugin, while allowing games that use it to boot, is not functional, and the only way to get said function is to decrypt the data that is passed between a DS and the DS Wireless USB key, then emulate that over a standard TCP/IP connection.
