Greetings.
I've got some problems with pokemon Diamond/Pearl, it runs normally untill the first battle (when you choose your first pokemon from the briefcase) the foe pokemon colors aren't well, and after his HPs are down to 0, the game crashes, is that a known problem or am I the only one getting it?
thanks

It's better to use savestates cause sometimes when you wanna load your game save is bugged and won't load:p

Flash 512k Save type
No, it is Flash - 4 Mbit because of this cart is 1024 mbit. Do the math! ;)

its better to not play at all until the battery saves are fixed.
reason being is that once you load a state, you can't battery save at all anymore.

come on rockmanforte, ROM SIZE there is nothing to do with SAVE SIZE, i already told you a million times didn't I? each game have it own necessities when comes to saving. even a 8mb game can have a 512kb save.
Flash 4mbit = Flash 512kb, then he's correct, since theres no EEPROM 4mbit.

Well... Yeah! Like, I’m a perfectionist. I thought I had come to terms with this affliction. ;)

don't you mean 521kb? it's because of the nogba head + foot + junk useless data.

Why not set SAV/SNA File Format == Raw the save files always going to be 512kb;)

ah, thank you, i didn't know that... i thought there was only Uncompressed option. :rotflmao: now ideas accept no$gba saves normally.

The 3D graphics aren't good, on 1.0.1.9beta, (attached some scrennshoots), the last one is with alpha blending on, am I the only one getting this? and can someone help? thanks.
note : it's worse when I load a savestate from 1.0.1.8 and the emu crashes (open GL plugin problem).

the graphics are fine for me :| that looks like vertex artifacting, maybe check the temp on your video card/chip

mine working fine too, did you over clocked your video card?

No, I didn't overclock it, I've got a S3 unichrome pro (or something like that, can the problem be from my video chip?) but I've got no problem with 1.0.1.8. I'll check it out, thanks.

It run just fine over here aswell...looks like classic artifacting....
yes the problem could be a junk card like that...in fact it most probably is. The more OpenGL is used the more the actualy graphics card is used...which cards like that just don't have hence it could cause artifacting.

thats the problem, get onto Via about this, i told them 2 years ago they need to provide better opengl drivers for thier unichrome chips but the noobs ignored me.

OK, thanks, I know that my openGL isn't good enough, I just hope that there will be a Direct3D plugin.

opengl is built into the application itself, rather then being an actual plugin.

the best program to check would be pokemon, as thats that i found the battery save after quickloading issue on.
usually it takes 10-20 seconds to fully save but after a quickload only takes a second. lol.
hopefully Lino has fixed it though, hopefully the next changelog will give us some info on why Zelda was broken. probably something missing in the firmware emulation

Hey i have a question.
I had 478 pokemon and an awsome team of about 20 lvl 100s.
Than suddenly when i was playing wireless with my rl friend in doubles battle mode my screen went blank. I couldnt do anyting so i turned my ds of and back on. Now it sais the game has been damaged and i have to start over again. Is there something i can do to get my old game back? I havent overwritten it yet.

you can try dumping it to PC and check if one of the emus can access your save...but if that does not help then I would say it's pretty much lost.

I definitely don't recommend using the latest sound plugin. Try this one (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?hgzd02exmwg) instead. Before installing this one in PLUGIN folder, to avoid conflicts you should rename or delete the other one.
After you've done it, start iDeaS, and before loading a ROM, enable the sound plugin (Options->PlugIns->Sound->DirectSound Plugin). Then the game should run quite fine ;)
Also, in the sound plugin properties, you can try modes other than Append: Syncronize if you have over 65~66FPS, or No syncronize in last resort...

Thanks for your help.. i managed to kinda work it out myself.. HOWEVER i do have a question about the sound plugin.. i downloaded the exe from the link you gave me, deleted all files first etc, then i placed the aud1014 download into my plugin file (first of all is that right what im doing) as the sound is still horribly distorted?
my game runs at about 63fps.. i havent got a swiss gaming computer.. i use my windows vista laptop
