Ok, i downloaded the newest beta of the dolphin x64/dual-core emulator and tried playin ssbm. It runs very, very fast! its like playing the normal ssbm on lightning mode except its the whole f*&^ing game, even the menu! how can i slow this down, i already have max res. 4x antialiasing, i set the nvidia control panel to the highest settings (idk if that makes a dif) and took off dual core mode. taking off dynarec just makes it choppy and fast at the same time. does anybody know how to make it normal speed?

There is no framelimiter so at this time there isnt anything you can do....

You've got V-sync on haven't you? Other than that I got nothing lol

just use something like clockgen to lower your Ghz or switch into different energie modes in your settings until u got the right speed

I tried using a cpu slower, but that doesnt solve the problem. If you artificially slow down the cpu, instead of running smoothly and slow it just runs jerkily, like, it moves ultra-fast for a second, the stops, etc..... it doesn't get smooth... I hope they put frame limiter in the next beta.

What are your specs? I'm running it on my laptop, with a 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo and a 8600M GT, yet I only get about 15 fps.

Make sure you enabled the multicore optimization in the options. If you don't, it makes a HUGE difference, without it I also do 15-20 fps.

With it instead, 150+ :dead:

Hope they will relase a version with frame limiter sooner or loater.

(LOL this is hilarious, this must be the first emulator where people complain it is too FAST instead of too SLOW :rotflmao: )

Which options are those, specifically? It isn't enough to just open DolphinDualCore.exe?

Is there even a vsync option at all? I've looked through the Dolphin menus and configuration and couldn't see one.

You have to activate V-Sync in your driver settings,

if you have a nvidia card, go to desktop->rightclick->nvidia controlpanel->adjust 3d setting->vsync auto. on

If you have an ati-card ask another one :p

....found a quote direct from Ector (one of the authors) over on Emutalk. That place avoids me for being unreasonably logical and loud though....

"Speed limiter is coming. Sound in zelda ... well.. nintendo is evil, let us just put it that way. Maybe someday..."

Avoids as in they avoid you or you avoid them? Does Nintendo use some weird sound system or format for Zelda and the Gamecube that isn't being disclosed thus Nintendo is being referred to as evil?

Well if this is true, congrats. I´ll try again with dolphin.
Question: Which version of dolphin are you using? I stopped following the dolphin like since a year ago and i don't know if there has been any advance

Look at the screenies. He uses Dolphin SVN R1713 (if you don't know but you seem to totally miss something).

mmm, the thread started almost 2 years ago.....so the firts posters has played SSBM with a very outdated version of dolphin. Today all of us know that SSBM played almost perfect on Dolphin (X86 or X64) with a 2.0+GHz dual core CPU.

very odd that a user revives a 2 year old thread.

Is this true? I can only get 20-30 Fps with Dolphin games. What version and or settings can geta 2.0Ghz dual core to get almost perfect?

Or is 20-30 almost perfect?

60fps is perfect. I don't think you can achieve 60fps with 2.0ghz dual core.

It's depend on the game, but I saw rigs that run SSBM at pretty much full speed with a 2GHz Core2Duo.

You're using a 8200M VGA and I'm almost sure that the slow fps It's due to that, your VGA is bottlenecking your CPU.

and 60fps doesn't mean full speed on all games of dolphin, some run perfect at 30-25fps.
