I don't know anything about programming, but do you think that the open source supplied with 1.4 can make a differance to it in the hands of a good programmer? Or is 1.4 the be all and end all of project64....
Just curious

I hope and pray someone utilizes that source coz I got into n64 emulation only now and pj64 is the best emulator right now.;)
Anyway be optimistic and hope that it stays alive.

That's my thought on the matter -- since the source is available, certainly someone will pick it up and continue the work.

Yep hopefully 1964 and Nemu use the source code to make those emulators at the level or better than PJ64 :)
Also the GPU plugins seem to need some work for many games..
I would love to see a GPU plugin for N64 emus like the ones Peter makes for PSX emulators.

yeah if the GFX plugin source had been released there would have been more change of making it better.... Any ideas if jabo is planning to continue his work on it?

In the posting on their website they said they are discontinuing the emulator. They didn't say anything about the plugin's. I wonder...?
