hello. i'm sorry if this is the wrong question in the wrong place.

i have recently aquired a "smart cartridge", which plugs in the back of my old playstation and allows me to play backups. it also has a 25 pin socket in the back which hoped would allow me to plug it into the corresponding printer port on my pc, using this cable i have, to enable me to fill it with cheat codes but i am at a loss as to how to go about this. would this emulator, epsxe, or any another, be able to help me to do this?

i would be very grateful if any one could direct me to an apropriate place to find out abot this as, as i say, i am a bit lost.

I don't know if you'll be able to "to fill it with cheat codes" with the device you mentioned but I know that you'll be able to play backups with ePSXe and more, you'll be able to use cheats with this emulator using PEC (http://www.emucheater.com/).Hope It answers to your question.

This doesnt.

Couldn't you tell? He has either an Action Replay or a Gameshark, and wants it filled with codes from the net, so I'll assume that either he bought it "empty", or wants more recent codes. There are online databases that do that. Best choice, would probably be the device manufacturers' website usually.

Gotta go. Will reply later if no answers.

Also, this has no relation with ePSXe.

Well, for those sort of things, you'll need the software. And since we don't know what this thing is, we can't help you. Go on Google and look up the product and see if there are any sites about it. Did it come with any sort of software, anything that would hook it up to a computer?

hello, and thankyou for replying.
this "smart cartridge" has no software with it. i had googled, and posting here is a long shot in desperation.

the cartridge appears to have cheat codeson it, for example for worms, but the cheats do not work with the original disc that i have of worms.

i have found this

and now i have one of these [url]http://tinyurl.com/2r79tw (http://tinyurl.com/3cpjb4) connecting the thing to the back of my pc.

and i am trying to load a .rom file of gameshark codes onto the cartridge, whether this is the right filetype i do not know.
