quake 2 with some mods, I played a lot in 1998 and 2002 (with other extra packs), in the end quake 3 was too difficut for me...
I don't have original quake 1, but I played it a lot in 1997, spent time to code with QuakeC some weapons and stressing the compiler in other way. I was usually like to use the radar addon in quake 1, too much funny :D

tell me about it, i played it once at night on my own, had the speakers on, i was shaking quite violently sometimes! scared the **** out of me!

apart from that, i was a big fan of MOHAA, great game that, use to play Quake 2 a lot too, also played Redneck Rampage, Doom 2 (of course) Wolfenstein 3d was good and a few others (Rise of the Triads, SOF etc)

Haven't stopped playing BF2 long enough to play much else, although I do CoD2 from time to time.

I have to say that BF2 gets a heck of a lot better if you're playing in a clan, but it's just my opinion :p

i just got star wars jedi knight II in the mail today. its pretty cool, i thought it was a FPS when i was buying but it is also a 3rd person shooter too and you can change between them at will. wish more games gave you options like that.

btw can anyone tell me if my pc can handle half-life 2? my system specs are listed in my sig. and i would download the demo to see but it would take 4-5 hours even on my DSL connection.

yeah, ive tried the doom 3 demo and it gets pretty damn choppy even in windowed mode at the lowest settings. im getting a new laptop soon anyway so i can wait.
