Help for Code Veronica!

Well I tried Code Veronica on my Toshiba A100-991...it's running, but too fast!!
I would know if there is a solution for getting a "normal" speed!
I haven't seen any FPS limit or something like on NullDC.

Nah It seems to be happening on Null as well in some spots it goes to fast like were you first run into the dogs there is a spot there were it runs really fast.

Your grammar did not reveal if the problem was on nullDC or chankast or both.

Anyway these might help:
1-3 are for nullDC
4 (should work with pretty much everything.

1. Use NullAICA and NullPVR and synchronize the audio to the video.
2. Still too fast? disable Dynarec Constant propagation pass. (CP pass)
3. Still? Disable dynarec.
Not helping?
4. Well then you could get a CPU loader. (A small program to cause percentual load on the cpu to "bring it down a notch") (Sorry I don't remember the names of any such programs as it has been years since I've used them.)

If these do not help, try reading the config file, It may have something usefull in it that is not in the GUI.

Well thank you guys,but sorry i didn't mensioned that it's running fast on "some areas" in the game not always!
For example in the begining of game when you leave the fisrt room,it becomes running too fast!
I desabled the "Dynarec" and the result is that it becomes very slow during all the game!
It's strange that this emu doesn't have the "FPS limit" option!
Wish that developper(s) of NullDC will arrange that.:)(I readed somewhere that a one person is developping NullDC,i wish i'm not saying stupid things ! :laugh: )

you should try to use a game save then..

The installer has problems as the windows too and as you said the Aica limits the speed, but not always works like that.

Copy the VMU and the bios to the new installation folder and Install NullDC again if you see a black screen and the game never appears in the boot just make a trick and delete the file dc_flash_wb.bin because it got some bugs in it yet. Do not worry about that file because the NullDC makes it. It is some kind of boot and flash together.

I had the same problem my emulator was running at 370 frames per second all the time on any game.

If you install it again probably will fix that. You will see in top window the FPS and the speed limiter at front of it.

I found a solution to obtain the needed item!You can use the chankast cheater download from here (http://www.emutalk.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=24214&d=1114338358) ,but to make it work on nulldc you must rename your nulldc.exe to chankast.exe,and after lanching your nulldc you lanch chankast cheater and you choose the game code veronica and choose the last cheat of the list!I just finished the game thanks to this tool :thumb: !!
It seems that this "big" bug is common for all the dreamcast emulators,strange!oO

Yeah I'm getting that graphic problem Uchiha_sensei posted got past 1 part when it was like that but can't get passed the part where you come out of the submarine after you lower it because I can't see anything :( I tried both graphic plugins same thing at the same parts

Dino Crisis has the same speed up / slow down glitch. Very strange. Also - no type of life bar or ammo is shown during gameplay, nada. I don't know if that is just the way this game is or if it's a emu thing.

Heres a tip at the cost of disk space. If you use Fraps just set the framerate to 30 and hit F9 to record, the game will the become locked at 30fps which is the games actual framerate. I use it to make HIDEF rendered cutscenes, last night i recorded Biohazard CODE: Veronica Complete's Wesker VS. Chris battle in 2048x1536 and man does it look amazing.

NOTE: The higher the resolution is set to the more disk space is required to make a Fraps video. They use very low compression and it took about 14GB to make that 5:30 minute video at 2048x1536.

Question: Does anyone know of an app that can lock rendering speeds to specific framerates other than Fraps? I don't like to make a video every time I want the game to run at the right speed.
