OK Ive looked as much as I can and I cant see it.

I was chuffed when I found a dreamcast emulator. I have a few discs which are apparently self booting discs (at least they boot up in a dreamcast anyway) but I cannot get them to boot in the emulator.

I do remember reading somewhere that its not advisable to run the emulator and boot from a disc but if thats the case then why have the option.

Every time I try to run the emulator with a disc in my dvd drive all I get is 'Disc Is Probably Not SelfBoot' in the command window.

Is there a dummies guide for getting the emulator to run discs.

Alternatively is there a dummies guide to making an image of my 'supposedly self boot' discs and making them bootable?

I have the same problem. The thing is, in XP, using Chankast, my CD would boot, but in Vista, using Chankast, my CD would go into the DC Audio player.

On XP, using the Chankast video plugin in nullDC, I would be able to play, but cannot use the nullDC video plugin since it would crash once I start. On Vista, the Chankast plugin would make nullDC crash, but the nullDC video plugin works fine, only problem is that the CD would go into the DC Audio player.

My experiences so far are:

Chankast:
XP: Play
Vista: Cannot play (boots to audio)

nullDC w/ Chankast plugin:
XP: Play
Vista: Cannot play (Crash)

nullDC w/ nullDC plugin:
XP: Cannot play (Crash)
Vista: Cannot play (boots to audio)

I tested on two different computers, one with XP and one with Vista.

XP Computer:
2.26Ghz P4
7500 Radeon
1GB Ram

Vista Computer:
AMD X2 64 3800+
GeForce 6100LE Integrated
1GB Ram
