i have to use Chankast PVR because nullPVR won't work it just crashes NullDC but in all games the graphics all have Flaws and look horrible.
System Specs:
Pentium Dual Core 1.6GHZ
Intel GMA950 Graphics
1GB RAM
60GB Hard Drive
Windows Vista Home Premium

Your video card is below minimum requirements. Nothing can be done.

LOL if it can run PCSX2 ok then why not NullDC Dreamcast is weaker than ps2

LOL
Apparently you have no clue about how emulation works. There are several features needed by each emulator. nullDC uses features that your video card (or its driver) does not support. That's why nullPVR crashes for you and Chanka PVR has horrible graphics. Blame Intel.

Lol
Obviously the graphics should be able to draw on screen properly however if the graphics card is not powerful enough it would run slow.
Anyone else have any ideas why this is.

I already told you. Your Intel gfx chip (or it's driver) does not support some features needed by nullPVR and Chanka PVR. That's why you have those graphical issues with Chanka PVR and nullPVR refuses to work.
You can try newer or older drivers for your Intel graphics chip in case it fixes the problem. If this doesn't work then you'll either have to wait for a nullDC version that supports your Intel gfx chip or you'll have to get another video card.

Ok fair enough but they should make it compatible with most graphics cards if it is possible

"They"?
It's not our fault if the Intel guys do crap with their cards. I doubt razi is willing to add code just for Intel cards but... We'll see.

Its your fault for gettign an intel card =P.Next time be more carefull and get something thats just slow and not incompatible.Anyway , next version will work so just wait for it ....................

If your card doesnt support programmable vertex shaders then utilities using said shaders will obviously not work.
Same way how if an application requires SSE2, then a cpu without SSE2 support will not be able to run it.

My CPU Definatly does have MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3.
My Graphics Card has Vertex Shaders but i dont think it has Pixel Shaders
Thanks for your help guys and i would be very grateful if you could help me out.

Yes im in the same situation, it would be much appreciated to have an option to turn off vertex/pixel shaders in Nullpvr plugin, glad to hear its a possibilty.

It's not only the Shader support. There are other features that Intel cards miss. nullPVR will work... this does not mean that it will look better than Chanka PVR.

afaik, the intel integrated cards doesnt even support hardware vertex shaders, its mostly done by the CPU and thats very slow, it has pixel shaders though but dont count much of it as its also slow...

The Intel GMA950 actually does support DirectX 9 level pixel and vertex shaders (although some of this is done in software as stated above). However, the graphics division is an afterthought for Intel... so this integrated solution is very slow and has poor compatibility because Intel does not spend many resources on the drivers and no game/emulator devs are going to waste time trying to support it.
Even an old Radeon 9800 or 9700 will completely demolish this intel chip in terms of performance and compatibility. If you're using a desktop, do yourself a favor and buy a semi-modern dedicated graphics card for ~$100 or so.

No , it does not have Vertex Shaders. It only has Pixel Shaders.Vertex shaders can be emulated by the host cpu with small cost.
'Microsoft* DirectX* 9 Vertex Shader 3.0 and Transform and Lighting supported in software through highly optimized Processor Specific Geometry Pipeline (PSGP)' (from the intel gma950 site)

Yeah, I know, that's what I said in the parentheses in my post: "vertex shaders (although some of this is done in software as stated above)" :)
Anyway, the main point is that the GMA950 is a slow solution that should not be relied upon for gaming.

I cant change it though as it is a laptop so i am kind of stuck with it anyway thanks guys.

Asking for betas of unrealeased emulators and/or plugins is against the rules. Don't get yourself in trouble. :dead:

Well you could always run SSF the Saturn emulator to keep you happy until the next release of NullDC comes out.

I was not asking for a beta i was asking to beta TEST in other words i would like to help beta test the software see not asking for betas and i also stated that i may be willing to donate a little bit of money to help i highlighted all important keywords so you dont acuse me of asking for betas as i wasnt
The reason i want to help is so that you can ensure that the emulator will work for almost everyone not just super powerful machines.

Read the damn rules
* No ISO, ROM or BIOS requests.
* No Illegal discussions (including "Utopia", "Echelon" or other "scene" releases).
* No requesting BETAs or release dates, next version will be out when its ready.
* No requesting to BETA test nullDC. The team does not need any more BETA testers.
Plus there focus isnt on fixing the problems with these crappy intel cards and the new pvr isnt nescessarly going to look any better as they already said. Just wait and stop bothering with posts like release dates and if you can beta test

stop insulting me people and stop lying we waited absoultly ages for release and the reason they have those rules is obvious i hate to crush people but i think they are lieing to us they aint competent and cant fix the issues and they are not going to release anymore versions of this. and you ban me and i will report this website and also make sure that this is taken offline and the correct people are arrested youll see you just try it.

Hell, I couldn't resist... this is the funniest post I've ever read here on ngemu forums :P

I knew someone would eventually uncover us... nullDC is discontinued. nullDC never existed actually... we just took Dreamemu, hacked it a bit and released it with a new name. There is nothing we can do to it now so there won't be another release.
Now excuse me, I have to close the thread and take my leave ASAP before this Website is taken offline and we all end up to jail.
