Hello, I think it's a good idea to make a thread about how to make nulldc works with wine.

The things I made to make it works are:

1. Download the version with installer and install it
2. Extract the file http: // www.sweetpotatosoftware.com/files/microsoft.vc80.crt.zip in the folder of the emulator (a folder was created by a few files inside, move ALL to the folder of the emulator).
3. Execute "winecfg" and add "nullDC_100b1.exe" to the list of applications.
4. Having selected "nullDC_100b1.exe" in the list of applications, choose as version of windows to emulating " Windows XP ". Then in the eyelash audio in " Hardware Acceleration " chooses "Emulation" and marks the cabin of "Driver Emulation".
5.in the folder of the emulator, in a terminal write: touch Microsoft.VC80.CRT.manifest
6. Execute the emulator (recommended to execute: WINEDEBUG = "-all " wine nullDC_100b1.exe).

It works for me but I have some graphics errors and audio sounds bad(crapy).

Sorry for my english.

wouldn't cedega be a more feasible solution, since it does support 3d acceleration and the likes... i know that they would probably have to support it since its not free. but i will try this later on tonight when i reinstall linux.

wine supports 3d acceleration, and better than cedega at that... :eyemove:

If that's the best wine can do, then people should just stick with windows. No point tolerating slow speed and incomplete graphics just to be able to run dc under linux.

well ideally nullDC would have a native client...

Hi Cman.
How about speed? Is it the same as in Windows?
Sorry, now I don't have Linux. I will have to wait a bit yet.
Thanks

Almost everything works fine with Wine 0.9.49 and nullDC beta 6. The only complaint (with Wine) is that on fullscreen mode, the top and right borders (which are also present in Windows but black colored) are of an extremely annoying phosphorescent shade of blue-green. It is certainly something to do with color palletes, but no setting of nullDC or Wine seems to fix it.

Oh, and regardings speed, it seems to run FASTER under Wine than on Windows!
