I have problem only with nrg files, when i select them the only thing what i get is an error with "selected image failed to load"(with the virtual drive the same problem). cdi files run properly.

Blame Nero. It uses a different format for each version (5, 6, 7). Most applications support images created with Nero 5 (or even 6 sometimes) but not Nero 7 images. You can try a newer or different image drive. Or just burn the image to a CD-R using Nero 7 and use Alcohol 120% to make a new image from the burned disc.

Newer versions of Daemon tools seem to work okay mounting most types of nrg files, I haven't had many problems with them. You could try using that along with the GDrom passthru plugin instead, might work out a little better.

i have burn the image(ecco the dolphin.nrg) and now the emu work, but the game is recognised as a no game cd.

Could be a bad burn. Have you tested it in your own Dreamcast?
