So I've read through the readme file, and for the life of me cannot get nulldc to read my dreamcast discs. for some odd reason it thinks that theyre audio discs and tries to play them in the cd player. when i select play game it tells me "please insert game disc". is there something i am not doing? thank you!

Well, if they are original GD-ROMs, sadly, you can't use them. IT's because GD-ROM's aren't readable in normal CD-ROM drives.

This is the Dreamcast's way of telling you it has no idea what the discs are ;). It happens with dodgy burns of backups too. It's just trying to play it as an audio file as it has no clue what else to do with it.
And of course you can't play GD-ROMs straight from your PC, PCs can't understand them. You'll need to dump the discs to an ISO, which you can find more info on elsewhere in this forum.
