I have tried every save type, yet I can't seem to get this game to load at all, and not only on no$gba, it does not work any of the emulators.

Hi!
I'm using the newest no$gba and I have problems with Puzzle Quest.
The games starts and is playable when eeprom 0.5k is selected. The game has some gfx bugs, it doesnt run full speed and the sounds are little bit messed up. Anyway those problems are quite harmless. The real problem is corrupting saves. Last night I played this game like three hours and then it crashed. I lost my saves also. Then I started no$gba and tested the saving. Both in game saving a nd no$gba snapshot didn't work at all. The game crashed everytime when I tried to load a save. I think this problem might have something to do with this..
I googled a little bit and found this.
"0937 Puzzle Quest - Challenge Of The Warlords USA Xenophobia -
Internal Info:
Internal Name PUZZLE QUEST
Serial NTR-AQWE-USA
Version 1.0
Checksum n/a
Complement n/a
CRC32 37923EFBh
Size 128 Mbit
Save Type EEPROM (4Kbit)"
Note that last line. This no$gba 0.5kbit eeprom probably is not same thing as eeprom 4kbit. :/ Is there a some way to make the saving work correctly? With diffent eeprom options the game doesn't seem to start. (It gives an error message about the corrupted saves.)
I try also iDeas emulator (less gfx bugs but poorer performance and sounds). Loading the saves didn't seem to work with it neither. (The game might have loaded the saved state but then the game crashed.) :(
Can anyone help me with this?
edit: a typo corrected

Actually, it's 0.5 kiloBYTES which is, in fact, 4 kbits. As for everything else - DS emulation is currently still way too early to give too many real results, it's most likely that the emulators don't support this game's way of saving yet..

No$GBA does not use savestates for DS games (yet if ever.) The savestate feature only works for GBA games, oh and yes EEPROM 4Kbits = EEPROM 0.5Kbytes
(Bits -> Bytes = Divide by 8)
4 divided by 8 = 0.5

Ok. Thank you for your replies. I'll do some experiments with the save files. I'll try to make backups from the save files to see, if the loading messes these files.
Edit:
I installed no$gba to new folder and started Puzzle Quest again. Now it seems that the saving DOES work. I recommend everyone to take backups from their save files time to time. You can find save file from BATTERY folder. Copy it to some other folder so you can copy it back if your save gets corrupted some how. I also recommend you to NOT touch the snapshot feature of no$gba untill it's fixed. I think that might have messed my save file. :/
