Just thought I'd say this is the best Dreamcast emulator I have used. The only issue being the lack of pad support like some other emu's. But it just runs so well, and you can actually have full screen on 1920x1080, which is great, because other emulators make the edges look very jagged because they don't render at higher resolutions.
When I first saw the emulator for download yesterday I thought it looked great. I installed it then saw all the plugin dates were April 1st :) Thought it was an April Fool and I didn't try too hard to get it working.
Today I tried again and WOW I was impressed. Heres a couple of screens I took of the very beginning of Skies of Arcadia as a reward for sitting through that boring little talk. I took these with all normal settings on my laptop, though the res was 1920x1080 fullscreen. I am running this in Vista, with the sidebar on, and bitcomet running in the background, and a few other random apps like firefox.
With audio sync:

Woah, ever thought of attaching them as thumbnails rather than this mumbo-jumbo resolution which doesn't even fit on my screen.
About the jagged edges, you can force AA for the application through the controlpanel for your graphics card I believe so you won't need to use a high res to get the jagged edges minimized. At least I saw some nice Soul Calibur screens with AA16x and it looked great even in the standard res for the emu. :)

Sure, sorted. Sorry about that I completely forgot about thumbnails.
Well I only have one more console to emulate from last gen (apart from the Xbox but I dont think theres any decent XB emulators). And that console is... a Gamecube. I'm looking forward to seeing how well I can emulate it though I bet it won't run as well as nullDC.

I'll wait till Ikaruga works with 100% gfx and sound before saying its amazing, but I agree on that NullDC has great potential.

@Borisz so a emulator can go from having potential to being amazing with the compatibility of one game?
NullDC is AMAZING!!!...(puts full stops).

Ikaruga is not a game, its art. And to answer your question: if that one "game" is Ikaruga, then, yes, very much so.

2ghz Core Duo (T2500) processor (unfortunately, I didn't know Core 2 Duos were coming out soon after, but this is still good), 2gb DDR2 ram @ 667mhz, 512mb GeForce Go 7900GTX, 1920x1200 screen. I don't have a desktop so I wanted a nice powerful laptop :) It's nearly a year old now, doesn't seem like it.

No wonder why it runs smooth then. ;)

Well its more that it does better than other emulators especially in Vista. demul was great, but unfortunately the dx plugin is the only one that runs full screen successfully, and that cuts out text in people's speech. Chankast I'm sure is wonderful, but unfortunately the version of Daemon tools you're supposed to use (I don't think) is compatible with Vista, I remember there were some issues with Daemon and Vista. Alcohol 120% and newer versions of Daemon don't load the patched Ecehlon SOA properly unfortunately. If only they would include a .cdi reader.

Huh?
nullDC reads CDI files just fine.
