I dunno, I wasn't able to play many games before but now stuff like Dragon Quest Rocket Slime works almost perfectly minus screen tearing in the game. Also FF3DS works really well minus some missing parts to the 3D.

That's all. No wifi for now but he said he will in the future.
EDIT:
Lunar Knight is now playable because in the previous version you got stuck when you met the suspisicous lady but now you are able to talk with her and continue your quest! :D
New Super Mario Bros is playable now. Set it to unlimited mhz, 10% and save options and neat! :D

Yu-Gi-Oh! Nightmare Trouabadour has been able to get past that screen for a while now...I still can't get any further after the opening cermony though and control get's turned over to you, the map becomes covered by a big green glitch just before that.
Yes it's slow...veeery slow.
Im also not sure what the correct savetype is as I can never get it to save so it may not quite be supported yet.

Well I was gonna say this release had a very noticeable speed increase, but a couple ppl beat me to the punch. I think it's running decrypted ROMs now too, but maybe that was implamented in previous releases.

April 5th, 2007, 03:43
Ryusei no Rockman: Pegasus(J) is running much more smoothly. The 3D stuff still isn't showing, but the music and animation of the overworld is much better.
EDIT: Oh yeah, the colors seem a bit washed out compared to the previous version. And if I try and save it or if I try and use a save state it crashes.

If you want to use the firmware menu then you will need to encrypted it.

u can save in no$gba but only need to get the right save type which i say is problematic in ff3. Why u ask, because if u save a game and reset u can load that saved file but when u switch of emu then play the game again the save file is gone. Tried with 8kb 64kb and FRAM 32 nothing works ,maybe someone has made it work, if so how?

In FF3 I have Eeprom 64 and for now I only tried that quicksave in game and it works! I can continue my game(all the time I have for FF3- 16.78 mhzrealtime, auto emulation speed)

For those of you having problems with save errors and whatnot - I find EEPROM 64KByte works with most games, it's only the odd one that I have to change. So set your save type to that, save your settings, and if you ever come across a game it doesn't work for, try a different save type and reset.

It is possible to load saved game in pokemon diamond
I will write everything about my method here.
In emu folder I have two bioses(biosnds7.ROM-16kB & biosnds9.ROM- 4 kB) I don' t know what is firmware and I think it is not important but I changed name of file that no$gba "produced"(from NO$GBA.INP to firmware.bin) I know it is stupid but I'm writting everything as I said before :P
Now- run no$gba and choose enscrypted pokemon diamond game. Go to Options->emulation setup, choose 128K macronix in GBA cartridge backup media and flash 512 Kbytes in NDS cartridge backup media. Now make sure you have 16.78 realtime auto emulation speed checked, digital stereo in sound output mode and high 44hz sound sample rate.
It is important now to go to options and save options
Play game and save in game from game menu. Exit emulator. Run emulator and choose pokemon diamond game. Just after first letters in game shows- go to options->emulation options and choose in emulation speed, LCD refresh Unlimited MHZ disaster 10 %.
Now you can load your in game save.
That is all. I hope it will work for you like it works for me.

just make a dummy firmware.bin file from another file (NO$GBA.INP or GBABIOS.Rom) and it will work if you change the setting to "Start Cartridge Directly" speed isnt important....and 256kb NDS save
this is really strange..... nice find though Grzeslav

Gah...
That charade has gone on long enough - some poor fool might think that doing that would actually be a good idea. I can't even begin to count the many ways how doing that messes up various functions.
It should be obvious: get the real firmware. You're supposed to dump it from your DS (like I did), but there are no doubt other ways of getting it...

Phoenix Wright? You can quicksave anywhere from the menu - that throws you back to the main menu, but then you can load that save as many times as you want to. ...it's definitely a good idea to save a few times in the court: the cases are far more difficult than in the first one, so better save if you want to avoid replaying...
Off-topic: Congratulations. I've been here for several years, and only have... no stars? :P

It won't let you change because you already have such a file in your folder, just make a new folder and call it backup or anything you want to..then drop your current firmware into there. After that you should have no more files named firmware in your folder and then you can change no$gba.inp to firmware.bin

After that you should have no more files named firmware in your folder and then you can change no$gba.inp to firmware.bin
that did not work... now all rom images crash
SCHUMI_4EVER
April 8th, 2007, 16:52
You have to set it to start cartridge directly in the no$gba options and the save it, that's the only way it works because the the other option actually loads the firmware and because your'enot using the propper firmware it crashes. If you can't change the options fast enough just delete the no$GBA config file and reset and save all the options.

At the moment it relies heavily on CPU power so anyone with a core2duo or AMD-X2 or at least a 64bit processor will get more out of it than others will.
Or the graphics card...not sure exactly which it is. But it's obvious you have some nice specs.
Injek
April 8th, 2007, 19:15
I believe that it relies on cpu processing rather than gpu processing, because my friend has a GeForce Fx5200, and his speed are not much better than mine.
If no$gba could have a direct3d rendering using graphic cards, I think that everyone would get just awesome speed. But for now I guess that it's only on software rendering

You mean in Diamond? And did you rename this no$gba.inp file to firmware.bin?
I'm not sure but it looks like doing this is necessary if you wanna load saved game...!
Today I deleted this renamed file(my "firmware.bin") and I only get black screen after choosing loaded game... Then I once again I renamed no$gba.inp file to firmware.bin and it worked! I can continue my game...!!
It's really strange.

Advance Wars: Dual Strike runs with some issues in this version. Sound works great, but very very choppy whenever 3D effects are being used on either screen. Basically, during the title screen, menu, or during an actual battle. It runs perfect when everything is purely 2D on both screens, but 3D lags it down to like 50% on my PC.
Also, some transparency-related effects do not show up or work right still. The selection cursor doesn't appear, the info box in the bottom corner has additive-looking translucency, the tile highlights for movement, and the day change thing all have graphical problems.
Also, there appears to be a problem with equipping CO skills. Rachel is Rank 2 but when equipping skills it says she is rank 0 and won't let me actually equip them because of that. Sounds like actual gameplay data isn't being emulated properly in that case still.
my PC specs are P4 2.6ghz, 512mb DDR400 ram, and 128mb ATI Radeon 9600 pro. Is my computer really that sucky nowadays?=/
The graphics in AWDS don't look like they'd normally tax my system, but it's emulated really bad. i use 16.78MHZ Realtime Auto, Digital Stereo, High (44khz) sound, 24bit truecolor, VGA poppy bright, Flash 256kbps (EEPROM dont work in this game). Turning off the sound does NOT speed up the laggy portions of the game though, but the sounds/music get really ugly sounding when it is running at 45-50%.

O crud...BSOD's...(Blue Screen of Death) those don't have anything to do with emulators...those are your Windows Installation being somehow really messed up...don't really know how we can help with those...if you can try and system restore to before you started using 2.4a..although I really don't see how that could cause anything like that.
Well I am fully fluent in German Fähnchen but I am actually South African, born here and everything. My family came over from Germany about 5 generations ago and we have just kept German in the family since then. It's my home language and my 1st language.
Been to Germany like 5 times already though, it's an awesome country and I love it.

Regards

man read above - it says how to read and load...
never mind listen:
after u save game, u rename NO$GBA.INP into firmware.bin and after that u can load and save and load again the game as much as you like :)
and a note: if u have a profile in diamond saved, and u wanna make another profile and overwrite the previous profile, the game will not allow you to save, so u will have to delete the sav file in the battery folder first and than start the game from scratch and repeat the steps for saving/loading...
all clear now?

hehe - niice :) anyways u couldnt rename it properly because u hide extensions in windows... for further renaming just open TOOLS menu on explorer, chose FOLDER OPTIONS, go to the VIEW tab, and uncheck the HIDE EXTENSIONS FOR KNOWN FILE TYPES.
After that all your files will be shown in NAME.EXTENSION manner, and whenever u rename it with a different extension it will change te file type too.

EDIT: As soon as i wrote this post i went further ahead (5 steps actualy :D) and my upper screen turned white, but the menu and all else seemed to be working fine... then it occured to me what i read in the translation guide - this area will have fog and u need HM05 to clear the fog. So i used Clear Fog with Noctowl and still the screen remained white, i entered the bag (so that the upper screen may change) and after i exited the bag the game was ok...
This means that the fog isn't emulated ok, and it has graphyc bugs with it, so instead of showung a transparent fog looking area or something like in dark caves looking environment but only white instead of black, it turns the whole screen white. And even when u use Clear Fog the screen remains white due to the emulation graphic little problem... but after changing screen to bag or pokedex or anything that will change screen, and returning back to game, the game settings have already changet to no fog area because u used Clear Fog, and since no fog will be drawn the screen is ok ;)
I hope what i just wrote makes sence to you and you understand it, for i wrote it in a hurry with no grammar and logcs arrangement :D

yes but geodude is catchable at very early in the game..Anyway i had a problem today to load my save game..i could load my save properly before i used the NDS2xGL2 program..After i used it the game shows me a error fatl problem tha my memory messed up:(:(And after i restart my pc when i tried load my save game with no$gba normally i recieved a fatal error again with now saying :http://C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Vaggelis/%D4%E1%20%DD%E3%E3%F1%E1%F6%DC%20%EC%EF%F5/%CF%E9%20%E5%E9%EA%FC%ED%E5%F2%20%EC%EF%F5/fatal%20problem!!.bmp
Any ideas??
hummmm, tell me your PC specs...
1 more thing: Well, NDS2xGL2 is a utility that wasn't tested properly yet, you shouldn't use it, at least untill some improvements, also No$GBA isn't perfect yet and you are already using another program on it. Wait a little more or use it at your own risk.
Wait, is that a No$GBA or a Windows error?

Well, if it's a No$GBA problem it was probaly caused by NDS2xGL2 and you can't do nothing.... Well, actually you can wait for the US version and start it again or try to uninstall NDS2xGL2 and see if the save works...

Yeah, be careful with these addons, NO$GBA is still a baby in DS emulation and anything can cause bugs...

Hi. I've received an annoying error while loading the save file in diamond:
"A communication error has occured. If you were in the Union room, you will be returned there. In all other cases, you will be returned to wherever you last saved. Please press the A button."
After pressing the A button the screen then goes blank. I already renamed NO$GBA.INP to firmware.bin and setting the nds backup media to F512K from before. What might be the problem?

It's slow but not bad speed and the graphics show up correctly in most case but some are little bit glitches. :thumb:

That's possibly because you'e either using 8Bit colours or not using the VGA Poppy bright setting, instead using GBA or something in your graphics setting...it's not neccessarily a bug Memulator...

Please stop~! Do not asked when. That's the reasons why a few emulators never released and in RIP because of people like you are annoying. Do not asked when at all. ;):thumb:
