Well, what kind of processor do you have?

If it's a 3.2 ghz celeron, I wouldn't be surprised with such speeds. A core 2 duo on the other hand.

isn't a celeron

Hm true better framerate on chankast plugin btw it passes Zack with Tina finally :dead:

Please note that the chankast plugin's fps counter has a bug , and shows more fps than real on 30 fps games (like doa).Enable the ingame stats to see the real numbers (they are at the end , inside [])

Guys, Even on a core2duo at 2.7ghz, I'm getting 60-80fps. Your pentium4 at 3.2ghz sound about right.

There's no way you can hit 60fps with a pentium4. Maybe at 4ghz.

And this emulator is ALOT faster than chankast. I could only hit 55-60fps on chankast compared to 60-80fps on nullDC. Don't judge this emulator poorly because you can't configure it or have minimum computer specs!

Look at here for speed comparison. http://forums.ngemu.com/1114694-post56.html

i enabled ingame states and this is what i got

Imagefly.info - doanull - Description (http://ifs2.imagefly.info/v/a5/png/doanull.html)

actually this the only game i tested that have speed problems all others have perfect speed grandia 2 even run at 40/30fps :thumb:
you guys done so a great job. well hope new version fix it.

Edit
dident see you post sims but actually i do not need to hit 60 fps with P4 but just 30 fps (full speed on DC)
and i know very well this emu is far from slow :) just that all games (i tested) run full speed execpt this one :( the one i want to play because of online playing witch nullDC will have :)
i still have a dreamcast hooked for the others until and hope NullDC became the perfect Dc emu :)

From what I remember with Chankast, DOA2 runs very slow anyways, but DOA2 LE runs much better. DOA2 seems to be locked at 30fps inside the fighting but I believe DOA2 LE is 60FPS.
This emulator plays it perfectly on my PC which is E6600 CPU, 8800GTX video card and 2 gigs DDR2-1000 ram.

Every DOA2 has got the fighting scenes in 60fps, the cutscenes are locked at 30 though. (also 60 on PS2)

Limited editions....

Both NullDC and Chankast show that DOA2 is both limited to 30fps when fighting, screenshots attached.
The DOA2 LE allows for 60fps fighting thus making it appear to be faster as well as smoother.

That's really interesting cause I remember reading reviews of every version of the game having the fights at a solid 60 :)

I can't verify it myself cause I only have the Japanese LE version here, which of course runs at 60 fps. I have no need of buying a second copy.

OK people, it seems that some clarification is needed. There is a bug (or missing feature) on nullDC and other emulators with some games that affects their ingame speed.

For example, Dead or Alive 2 LE normally runs at 60fps ingame and at 30fps during cut scenes (videos) but on nullDC (and the rest) the fps stay at 30 all the time (well, almost). If you use nullAICA with the "sync audio" option enabled and watch the whole intro you will notice that the intro music ends long before the intro which is wrong. On a real Dreamcast the music ends at the same time the intro sequence ends.
There were some overclocked nullDC versions (closed BETAs) that "fixed" the problem but the system requirements were high (and overclocking was not a "right" fix).

Same speed limitation problems exist with other games too (like Code Veronica and Timestalkers that run too fast).
Note that Timestalkers runs faster than normal on nullDC (even with the "sync audio" option enabled) but it runs at normal speed on Chankast. You can verify that if you notice the sounds of its intro sequence carefully on both emulators. (Be aware that Timestalkers runs at 30fps normally, nullDC runs it at 60fps which is double the game's normal speed)

There is no Limited Edition of Dead or Alive 2 for US. It's exclusive to Japan.
