Don't know... I think It's set to Winter 2002, but i doubt it. I think it will come out in 2003. or something.

More importantly, they reused the same technique of cherry blossom flowers flying all over the place. Either it's fake or Square's gotten really lazy. But yeah, I'd assume they are working on a PS2 FF XII (the only version, most likely).

You already know that's coming out (although probably as Street Fighter III.5 and a Half: The New Generation). Capcom and originality do not go together.

As for the cherry blossoms, they're definitely important in Japan, but they shouldn't be done in the exact same way. If this image holds true, maybe I really should do that FF XIII image again...

I understand they're important in japan...actually I even knew that, just didnt realise when I wrote that. My bad.

As for Capcom..well, they can be very original...problem is so far they've only been original three times or so (when they released megaman, again when they released street fighter 2 and when they released resident evil). But, and that has to be said, at least they know how to make a good sequel.

See, take a look at the FF8 field (actually, there's a better shot than this of the field, but I like this one more, so :p). Looks almost exactly the same. They're even the same *#$(#*ing mountains and forest.

you mean sequel to FFVIII, but I don't know about that. Cuz square DID confirm they were working on FFXII abpout 4 months ago or so. I just want to know what this person's source for that image is.

The EA sports games have always followed a yearly naming convention so the first series of games on the list would be accurate (excluding FF) but the rest probably won't happen. I notice a lot of PC companies are adopting the `XP' title though(Athlon XP, PowerDVD XP, Detonator XP, etc.). Maybe... Final Fantasy XP??? :p

BTW, the KOF series is dead so there will not be a KOF 2003. SNK's last game will be KOF 2002.

Lets think about it this way, Squaresoft lost a lot of money because of the ff movie, so, in order to save cost, they reuse the old models , thus, same flowers, same forest, same.... hoho :rolleyes:
