Okay, I'm thinking about switching to AOL because they're very cheap, plus they're throwing out free wireless modems (which are probably **** tho).

They're offering 2Mbps for £14 a month (that's $27 U.S. or €20). Thing is, should I switch to AOL or stay on my current provider?

I've been with my current provider (tesconet; NTL wholesale) for almost two years now. I'm currently paying £18 for 512kbps. Tesco offer true unlimited bandwidth, and I download a lot.
If I switch to AOL, I don't know how they'll react to the amount I download. I've never had a letter or warning off tesconet. Also, I don't know if AOL will slow torrents/P2P clients, or how reliable their service will be.
I suppose you don't know until you've tried, so it's probably best if I don't take up a contract with them.

What do you guys think?

BT suck.
- Over-priced
- Bandwidth limits
- Poor, poor service

You obviously don't know your broadband.

Im on AOL for 1mb for £14.99. Phoned them up and they said they should be updating the speed in a month or so for all of their past customers which really sucks. But the connection itself I have had very few problems with and 2mb is worth £14.99 IMO.
However, they are about to implement a Fair Usage policy which stop leechers from downloading tens of Gb's of data a day. As long as your not doing that youll be fine.

Most ISP provide hate p2p sharing

AOL may be one of them.

If you're happy with Tescos and they offer unlimited bandwdith, and you download alot then I say stick with them.
