Some games wont start unless you have the correct 'nds backup media' type selected. Either search for it on the forums as im sure there has been a post relating to this before, or try cycling through each option and resetting the game to see if it advances.

huh i've looked around. i've seen the other D/P issue Posts in this forum before i posted here. but i might have overtaken one of them. im sorry, but thank you. But what type of "NDS Backup media" i've looked at one post that said to multiply by 8 by its card size but it doesnt make any sense.

use FLASH 256 or 512; both work i think ;) but remember game speed is verry slow for now...

I have the same problem, I get these 3 lines written in Japanese and i can´t get past them, i´ve tried setting the "NDS cartridge backup media" to everything it can be set to, then i save the options and it doesnt work, after setting new options it doesnt even show the 3 lines anymore, just a white screen.

i´ve tried 3 different sets of pearl&diamond and i´ve got the same problem with all of them, as soon as i set the NDS cartridge backup media to something other than "none" and reset the game it shows me a blank white screen.

Do you have the firmware?
YEAH, I have everything:
ROMS, Bios, firmware, endrypts 1.2 and no$gba 2.3d.
They are all in the same folder without any packed .zip files in the folder. I´ve done the encryption and when i shows me the 3 Japanese lines, I can change every setting in the options except the NDS cartridge backup media, when i change that and reset the game it shows me a white screen.

hummmm, that's weird, it's working fine here and with other people too... I don't know what to say....
Is this happening just with Pokemon or with all your games?
Try redownloading No$GBA and dump your firmware again, you don't have nothing to lose. :thumb:

I don´t think redownloading any of the needed stuff is going to help, cuz i´ve tried it all with different versions of no$gba and 3 sets of version 2.3d...

Do other games work?

Try actually saving you options and then restarting the emulator and then loading the game, that should work.

I really don't know how else to help you.

I dunno if other games work, cuz Pokemon D/P is the only game i want to play AND saving the options doesn´t work, still gives me the white screen.

Make sure everything is correctly named...the only time I ever experienced anything like what you are describing was when I forgot to add my firmware to the new folder I had created.

Also the game is Japanese so I don't see how you wanna play it so bad considering you can't understand a thing, stress when the English version comes out, not now.

I´ve got it to work FINALLY, the problem was that the firmware file I had, was named "ds_firmware.bin". I changed it to "firmware.bin" and started the game and when i changed the options and did a reset the game started just fine :rotflmao:
BUT YEA, I´m not gonna play the japanese version, mainly because I don´t understand s**t and it runs sooooooo damn slowly. At the start when the professor spoke to me it seemed to me that the game was running ultra fast but when i left my hous it was like LOL how slow. But I wanted to get the game going so that I´d know that when the english version comes out I don´t have to worry whether I can play the game or not.
Thanks everyone !

Ohh, I knew there was something wrong with your firmware, that was a common firmware problem, the emulator wasn't using your firmware because it's name was wrong.
But it's good to know it's working now.
Good luck =]

It is not fully playable unless you leave it on the whole time, because it will save but it wont open.

for all the people with mod access, why dont you rename the thread "poke Di/Pe 3 japanese sentences fix"

and delete all the posts up untill the one where the guy renames the firmware file ?

and making the thread a sticky wont hurt either.
