Just having a small thought about the microphone emulation. Can people who are able to use the microphone ingame please specify what sound card/drivers they are using, as it seems that the programmer of the no$gba has only limited support at the moment, as dictated by the line,

nds/microphone: wave_in-dma activated only if/as long as enabled in powerman

I currently use my onboard sound with AC97' drivers for it.
A friend i just met has a sound blaster and is unable to use the mic support of no$gba.

I would like to try to get a compatability list going for the mic-support at least until a new version has started up.

Working:
Onboard Avance AC97 Audio

Not working:
Sound Blaster Audigy

Also, just another quick note, I will list the games that i have found to work with a mic, and the notes that are suspected to use the mic and arent working.

Working mic games:
0564 - Open Season (U) (stage 1)
0005 - WarioWare Touched! (U) (robot / mix stages) / For a limited time it works, then it just stopped for me. I had to reset to get it working again.
0114 - Lunar Dragon Song (U) (escaping battles) / mic transmission seems to be lagged.

Non-working mic games:
0838 - New Zealand Story Revolution (E) (blowing to make the balloons rise)
0168 - Shamu's Deep Sea Adventures (U) (1st stage blowing for the blow-hole)

Hm...how can we even tell if the mic works at all?

Do we just...use the microphone's on our PC's? I don't even see an option in the emulation options screen recognizing that the emulator is actively aware that there's a mic plugged in.

As of no$gba 2.3d, only the ability of mic support has been added. There are no options to see whether the mic on your own system works or not, or is there any option to modify the mic thats being emulated by the no$gba emulator itself.

The only way of finding out if your mic is working or not, is to play a game that uses the microphone ingame. The above selection that i posted before is only a small amount of games that actually use the microphone, and that i have tested. The ones in the 'Working mic games:' list are ones that i have tested, and i have posted where the mic is used. The easiest game to test the mic with, is 'Open Season' as the very first stage uses the microphone to play.

After some testing, my friends have been able to get their microphone working. It seems that in order for microphone input to work, you have to have sound enabled in the emulator itself. Without sound, the is neither output coming from the emulator, or input going into it.
