NOTE: Pokemon Pearl works but you can't continue on until you pressed the BIG Pokeball with a Stylus Pen... Does No$GBA emulator support this?

Then they are not playable at all. Just the title screens and that's it.

PLAYABLE mean: I didnt played all the way to the last level yet. You can test it and confirm if it is FULL PLAYABLE in here, ok ?

Mario Hoops 3on3 (USA) - Playable but slow and some
gfx errors. Set it to EEPROM 64kybtes

Rayman DS (USA) - Playable, and slow. Set it to EEPROM
64kbytes

Lost In Blue (USA) - Playable, slow, and a little bit
gfx errors and set it to EEPROM 64kbytes.

Mario Kart DS (USA) - Playable, slow and some gfx errors.
Set it to FLASH 256kbytes.

Bokura no Taiyou - Django and Sabata (J) - Playable but slow. (*02/06/2007 Lunar Knights US) Set it to EEPROM 64kybtes

Diddy Kong Racing DS (U) - Menu then error appears: invalid gx
command 0000008F,00000002,000000F4,00000008 so press enter to ignore it then ingame, invalid gx command with many weird codes again so press enter repeatedly to ignore it then Playable which is weird with some gfx errors and slow. Set it to FLASH 256kbytes.

Lego Star Wars II The Original Trilogy (U) - Playable and slow with some gfx errors. Set it to EEPROM 0.5kbytes

Bionicle Heroes (U) - Playable and slow. Set it to EEPROM 0.5kbytes.

Well yea i read it but i was wondering where the pokeball was. My title screen just says pokemon pearl the bottom screen is black. So is that where the ball is cause i cant see it

RockmanForte
February 5th, 2007, 22:26
That's normal because it didnt emulated yet. Wait for the next version. When I find out that the game is not playable then I will just leave it alone and wait for the next time rather than wonder if it is something wrong with my emulator or my pc. No worries. It just didnt emulated yet. Ok ? :)

hey, did u see the Push Start Button in the title screen? Press start and wait a c0uple of minutes then it will load to the intro of the game pokemon pearl. dont say it doesnt work if u just see it not loading in one minute or so. Just wait. Or maybe set ur emulation to Unlimited Mhz 10% for fast emulation. Eniweiz, its WORKING and my only problem is the pen thingy coz i cnt press the pokeball.

I am having issues with the Japanese Phoenix Wright: Justice for All.
The game slows down to a crawl whenever I open the court record (from 100% emu speed to around 40%): is there any way around this or I should just wait until the emulator improves?
I have biosnds7.rom, biosnds9.rom and firmware.bin unzipped and in the emulator's folder and usually boot from the bios.

RockmanForte
February 7th, 2007, 16:46
If you set in Emulation Setup the speed from 16.xx MHz true speed to Unlimited MHz Disaster 10%, it will at least be somewhat playable. Hope that helps. (credit goes to AMPonzi)

Edit: Otherwise, you should just wait until the emulator improves, of course.

@DMzickNET, it freezes cuz ur sound is set to none, try to put it at least to low and it will pass through(At least worked for me).

I like how much the emulator seems to have improved. It works much better and faster now, but still much too slow when trying to play games like pokemon. And the sound is really bad, I can't really hear anything other than static.

When I first loaded up Pearl, this blue error screen (or i am assuming its an error screen since i can't read japanese;) ) came up, but once i changed the backup media thing to eeprom 64 the error screen stopped coming up. The problem now is that nothing loads, I have waited for 2 minutes + and all i see are blank top and bottom screens. What did i do wrong?

RockmanForte
February 9th, 2007, 21:47
You forgot something. Change it to eeprom 64 which you did and then go to file and click reset cartridge.

kevinup91
February 9th, 2007, 22:23
i did that. Thats when i got the blank screens.

RockmanForte
February 9th, 2007, 23:17
Do you have firmware and nds bios ? You need them.

kevinup91
February 9th, 2007, 23:28
yes i have both bioses (7 and 9) and the firmware.bin file.

P.S. Btw i am running Vista, so i don't know if that has anything to do with the problem. I can play both kirby games fine so i don't think that's the problem.

RockmanForte
February 10th, 2007, 00:02
Ok!

http://i11.tinypic.com/2mwupw7.jpg

After you save the save options and try again to see if you are able to do that.

That's what it was coming up to me. :)

February 10th, 2007, 00:12
Nope, sorry. I did everything like u said. Now i have two grey screens.

The two grey screens are formed by the reset/startup entrypoint. For some reason, the GBA Bios (Nintendo Logo) option does not work, not even with my Kirby games. If i change this option back to start automatically, the kirby games work, but Pearl still does not.

Hummmmm, a firmware problem, dump it again ;)

kevinup91
February 10th, 2007, 00:27
Really, are u sure?

RockmanForte
February 10th, 2007, 00:28
Maybe a bad dump. Again, make sure you change this option then save options and click Reset Cartridge. When you load Pearl...press ENTER rapidly until you got the title screen then press enter rapidly again until it goes ingame.

kevinup91
February 10th, 2007, 00:30
i don't see anything when i load pearl, so even when i push start rapidly, nothing happens. I guess it must be a bad dump then. I know you guys can't tell me where to get one, but can u at least tell me the correct file size of a good dump?

RockmanForte
February 10th, 2007, 00:34
This is a good dump crc 50dd7518

kevinup91
February 10th, 2007, 00:39
That is my dump...

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I thought you meant that i had a bad firmware dump.

I believe that there is a problem with the startup entrypoint. That is because whenever i choose that option, no game of mine works. I see the picture you uploaded that is the real DS startup screen, but i just cannot get that screen to come up, only two dark grey screens show up, nothing more.:(

RockmanForte
February 10th, 2007, 00:49
Oh, sorry. It is 945F9DC9.

kevinup91
February 10th, 2007, 00:52
I can't find anything by that crc. Are u sure that it isn't AE2DB9A9?

Nevermind, you are doing the firmware now.

How do i check what my firmware is?

RockmanForte
February 10th, 2007, 00:59
convert it into .rar or .zip and open it to see the crc. :)

kevinup91
February 10th, 2007, 01:04
it says no archives found!!!!

Scratch that, I just got one that is the right crc!!!!:)

It Works!!!! Thank you so much Rockman, dude ur the coolest!!!!

SCHUMI_4EVER
February 10th, 2007, 02:02
? Why did you check the size of the firmware dump via CRC? why not just check how many Kilobytes it is?

kevinup91
February 10th, 2007, 02:40
Thank you again Rockmangames because the game was well worth all the trouble to get to.

Rockmangames, i have a question to ask you. I know that you have ties with Normmatt, so i was wondering if you could maybe convince him to try to work together with the no$gba team. They both have great emulators, no$gba has great compatibility and Desmume runs very well. If Normmatt (and Shash and who ever else is on Normmatt's team) and the no$gba team would work together, they could make a great ds emulator:eyemove:!! Please consider this and try to make it happen.

RockmanForte
February 10th, 2007, 02:58
No problem. Unfortunately, I do not think desmume developer and no$gba emulator developer will ever works togethers because they are on the two different paths.

No$gba developer is always himself on this emulator for gba and now nds. Shash has his own project for 3-D and something I am not sure before he feels it is right and will added it to desmume developer's project.

? Why did you check the size of the firmware dump via CRC? why not just check how many Kilobytes it is?

You can do that too. Sometimes people wants to check out the crc rather than kiobytes size. Crc is more accurate, I guess. :heh:

Ramza_the_Omega
February 12th, 2007, 23:16
they just need to fix the speed

RockmanForte
February 12th, 2007, 23:20
They are focus on 2-D, 3-D and sound at first. I do not know if they are going to do that also. We will wait and see.

Just something I notice:
Using No$gba, loading a gba rom, and then loading a NDS rom would result in only using one screen in which he bottom screen is not there.
and vice versa if you load the nds rom first.

So what are you saying ? :)

Plank
February 14th, 2007, 14:58
Um... I've got one question - is it any method to save game in Pokemon Pearl? I'm saving in-game but after rom reload the "Continue" option doesn't appear...

Ramza_the_Omega

well then thats new

Cloudius
February 14th, 2007, 21:28
So what are you saying ? :)

If you load a GBA rom first, then from FILE, Click Cartrigde menu (FileName) and load a NDS rom, It will only have the previous loaded screen, (which is the top screen for GBA), So you only get one screen for NDS, missing the bottom screen.
I am not sure if this is clear enough.
