well the game runs fine mostly just that when the game loads to the menu screen "Start continue option" and i try to press down it automatically resets to the brigandine animation, if i just press x it will load the game normally but it doesnt prompt me into which country i wanna choose and it will always end up making me choose Iscalio at the end

is there anyway to fix this?

Hello NyXpun and welcome to emuforums.
Check your input configuration in the control config tab of pSX. Meaby the buttons are not correctly set.

tnxs for tryin to help

actually the problem is more like it will load to the "start continue option screen" then reset back to the brigandine animation movie

the only thing that works is jus pressing "x" right when that screen comes up but i always end up being iscalia

Hum I see....just checked the pSX compatibility list (http://psx.silvanthalas.com/psxcompatibility.html):

Brigandine: The Legend of Forsena: Menu screen disappears quickly, so you have to be ready to select an option

So seems that is an emu issue. All I can suggest you if the problem is an obstacle for you, is to try another emulator.

Don't bother trying with ePSXe though. It won't work there either.

I had the same problem with Brigandine using epsxe ver 1.6. I tried Emurayden ver. 2.1 and VGS with XP patch and still had the same problem. Then I tried PSXeven and with a little configuring of the control pad it no longer had the problem. My configs are as followed...

GPU Name: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver Ver. 2.6
SPU Name: Pete's Midas Audio Driver Ver, 1.7(However I am experiencing no music only distorted sound effects)
CDrom Name: SaPu's CD-Rom Plugin Ver. 1.0
PAD1 Name: TSG Direct Input Pad & Keys Driver

The only downfall is that I cant seem to get the wonderful music soundtrack to work. Any suggestions let me know.

Try to use Eternal SPU plugin 1.41 (not lite).

Thanks for the reply however I have tried all of the following SPU's...

Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41 and lite
Kazzuya Direct Sound Audio Driver .05
Null2's Audio Druver 1.3
Null Sound Driver 1.0
P.E.Op.S. D Sound Audio Driver 1.9
Pete's D Sound Audio Driver 1.14
Pete's MIDAS Audio Driver

All seem to only produce glitchy sound effects and no sound tracks during game play. Any other suggestions of SPU's I can use?

Thanks

Seems like this game has CDDA audio, try this method:

Make an ISO image (http://forums.ngemu.com/everything-else-psx/34515-how-make-perfect-backup-psx-games.html) of the game (i suggest that you make one with alcohol 120%).

Use Mooby2 cd disk image driver (cd-rom plugin) and configure it like this:
Repeat all CDDA tracks.
Enable subchannel data.
CDDA Volume bar to the maximum (value 1.00).
After that go to File - Run CDROM (not Run -> ISO) and browse to the image you made earlier.

The sound should work now, if not make sure that 3 top boxes in the sound config are checked.

Btw: You can download plugin here (http://www.ngemu.com/plugins.php?cat=1&os=win32&type=gpu) (the name is CDR Mooby).

I don't know with you but with me this worked out pretty well since I had the same problem in the beginning.. I DLed PSXeven then when I ran brigandine with it, the main menu problem and the country select problem was solved but the cycle was now way too fast.. so I went to configuration>video and selected "nice" instead of "fast" at the bottom left corner and now I'm having loads of fun... didn't even need any plugins not one of them... just ran ISO and thats it..
