...whenever I try to load Crash Bash. It starts the music, and then the the "SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT AMERICA PRESENTS" message comes up, and then this screen pops up:

This was when I loaded my actually legal Crash Bash PS Game Disk which I got ages back. So, I figured, maybe it was just because I'm running a CDROM.
The same thing happened with a standard ISO, and the same message popped up. I really want to play Crash Bash on the pSX, and if anyone can help, it would be much appreciated!!!

Please don't mention you've downloaded the game. It is illegal (even if you own a copy) and against our forum rules. Just edit your message and leave that part out.
I have the game, I'll try it tomorrow when I have the time.

They say;
Crash Bash SCES_028.34 1.7 YES "spu: no reverb config for Echo" error
I dont have this game, so I cannot test it.

@comicmasterajd: That screenshot is a picture of the copy protection kicking in. I do not have the game for testing or anything, but from the experiment I ran a while ago... every game I've seen that screen come up for, can be played if you use a PAL BIOS (like SCPH1002.bin or DTLH3002.bin). Don't forget that when you change the BIOS, you have to restart the emulator for the change to take effect. If that doesn't work (though I'm almost certain it will), then you'll have to find a patch for the game.
@Cobalt: SCES means it's European, and since he mentioned seeing a screen saying "SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT AMERICA PRESENTS", I'd have to assume his game is American.

Thank you so much. That worked perfectly! : )
While people are watching this thread, I have a final question.
For the pSX, I replayed through Silent Hill on there, and as many of you might know, you get some bonuses on your next playthrough once you beat the game. However, while you can do quicksaves and save states...is there any way on the pSX that you can somehow to save to...a...memory card?
The reason being is that I want to be able to start the game over with access to some awesome weapons. I don't know if this is possible, but just asking.

Create your own memory card through File>Configuration and click on the Memory cards tab and click on the "...", type in a name and click open and it will create your own memory card file for you to use. BTW: Don't use save states too much, I heard you can have problems if you soley rely on save states to save.

Okay, I know I said final question, but that's because I'm a liar.
Does anyone here use an actual PSX/PS2 controller on their games? See, sometimes, the controls don't work when I load it, and it takes forever to figure out why my controller isn't working.
I use the very first adaptor on this list below:
USB Adapters (http://www.stepmania.com/wiki/USB_Adapters)
And I use the standard sony black PS2 controller. I've gone to configuration before and mapped all the controls, but now nothing responds when I press the buttons on my controller.
And yes, it's all hooked in.

Try changing the controller type.

Right. Just like on a real Playstation, many older games do not respond to an Analog controller signal. In those games, you had to keep that red light on the controller off to play. In pSX, having the controller set to Dualshock or Analog+Rumble is basically telling the game that red light is always on, so you must use the Normal Pad setting for the game to respond.
One thing I should mention... I use an adapter with an actual PS1 controller, and in Valkyrie Profile (which supports Dualshock), if I start the game with the Dualshock setting, the controller works fine until I actually load my game. After loading, the controller stops responding, and I have to change the mode of the controller to Normal Pad (which makes it work), then back to Dualshock, if I want to use Analog controls. Loading the game with Normal Pad set works perfectly fine, and switching to Dualshock works fine too. The reason I mention this is because I have no idea if it's only Valkyrie Profile that does that, since nobody has ever reported this issue. So you might want to keep that in mind if you're playing a game that you *KNOW* supports Dualshock, but isn't responding when you start the game with Dualshock set.
