I have windows XP pro with service pack 2, AMD XP 3200, 2GB ram, 7800gs+. the VM version does not work. The emulator starts when trying to "run" an ISO it just turns off. the non-vm version works is there any way i can make it the VM version work. i have a virus checker and firewall and i have tested the emulator while they were both turned off i get same result.

You can't use VM with your specs. Use the non-VM version.

Mine does what his does, but I have a 3 GHz Pentium 4, WXP with SP2, and an ATI Radeon Graphics card with 256 or 512 Meg RAM.

Have you read the configuration guide that is posted at the top of this forum? Typically any problems on a Pentium based machine are caused by a misconfiguration.

Another typical problem with your machine is the Radeon drivers. You should use the newest drivers as ZeroGS doesn't like certain older versions.

You may also have a problem with your SE_LOCK_MEMORY setting, which is normally set the first time you run the VM version. Search the forum for SE_LOCK_MEMORY and you will find lots and lots of posts about it, with solutions.

I don't know what you mean about the config guide, specifically. I've been through multiple attempts at reconfiguring pcsx2 to no avail - no matter which config I run it with, it stops at the same spot and crashes every time.

I tried the SE_LOCK deal, and no change. Will look at the drivers.
