FF9 freezes!!!

I'm using a pSX v1.7 emulator and my FF9 game freezes at disk 2 at the place after the 3rd fight with Beatrix and when you run down and Marcus with Blank save you. Well I tried to discribe this as detailed as I could. Would be realy happy if some1 can help me. :)

EDIT: this hapens both when using an original copy on CD and a downloaded cdimage

You downloaded a copy of the game which is considered as piracy and which Ngemu doesn't support. Have a look to the rules (http://forums.ngemu.com/751349-post1.html) please. You absolutely didn't need to as you got an original. You just had to make an iso of it (http://forums.ngemu.com/everything-else-psx/34515-how-make-perfect-backup-psx-games.html).

I suggest you to download the last version of the emulator first (1.10 release) (http://psxemulator.gazaxian.com/).

Oh and the reason why I downloaded an image is becaus one of my discs was damaged and wasn't playable.
