Is my PC good enouph to work pcsx2???

GUys please help me i have a: HP Pavilion Media Center a1430n - Tower - 1 x Athlon 64 X2 3800+ / 2 GHz - RAM 1 GB - HD 1 x 250 GB - DVDRW (+R DL) - Mdm - Win XP MCE 2005, and its playin the pcsx2 so slow i dont understant wat do i have to do to work the games i want to play heres some of the titles that i want to make it work

those games are cpu intense, so you wont get full speeds, my comp has less ram, but more faster processor, and it cant even run ffx-2 faster then 20fps, but on a simple 2d game like disgaea it runs to 40+ during fights.
