Just check Resident Evil 4 on Vista with pcsx2 emulator. And get 20-25 fps in game :(
At Windows XP x64 i get 30-45 fps.
I think nvidia driver not perfect yet for Vista :( Or pcsx2 need mprovements.

Yeah, PCSX2 doesn't support 64bit yet so PCSX2 on Vista is bound to give you less fps.
I imagine that will change, though when they release their 64bit version in the future.

its 2 things, I've tried the Vista RTM and it has Directx 10, which I dont think is supported yet by PCSX2 team. and 2nd, the current drivers for Windows Vista have no power behind them. They suck. So I switched back to Windows XP until those are resolved.

At all i am using x86 OS Vista. And I have AMD Athlon X2 4200 (Overclocked to 2.64 Ghz) 2 Gb Ram, and GeForce 7900GS. In my opinion, Vista runs faster then XP on my system. But many games have problems with graphics and pcsx2 slower than on XP.

many games doesn't support 64bit OS. but, i think it would be greater on the future. now 16 bit cpu is vanished(due to my spec is celeron d), better grab a new cpu.
