DC hotfix required on core2duo?

is the dualcore hotfix required for Core2Duo prozessors or is it only for AMD?

To my knowledge, it's more of an optimization than a hotfix. I'd assume that it's for both C2D's and Athlon's as well. Leave it checked, and if everything runs fine, why not keep it on? :D

winXP has a general problem with handling multiple CPU's / Cores, it's advised that any dual core user applies this fix, you'll find it doesn't effect everything, but it certainly helps in PC game stability, and heavy multi threading apps, which PCSX2 most certainly is.
