you doesn't get more speed in pcsx2 by using sli...

At the current build (and I would guess the foreseeable future) the CPU is the main factor on running Pcsx2 smoothly, SLi is to the best of my knowledge a PC only enhancement and cannot be added to other 'systems' easily (basically like trying to teach a PS2 to 'thread' its GFX work).

A duo core CPU will realise much better results than even a quad SLI 8800 setup at the current build.

Yea it's true, CPU is a lot more important. I made a GPU comparision test using PCSX2 v0.9.1 and then ZeroGS was still a very GPU dependant plugin but now with v0.96.0 doing more close comparisions I can see zerofrog has obviously made some improvements to the plugin so it's not as GPU dependant anymore, it's a huge difference too I can add. Let's take an example, RE4 for example used to run very slow and is more of a GPU dependant game and ran better with GSdx9 in previous build but with current release I get like 42 FPS in a spot I got 27 with ZeroGS plugin or so in the previous version and CPU usage climbed to even 100% now it seems pretty much all the time with AA and bilinear filtering disabled while in previous build it was like between 60 - 75% almost all the time which is a sign of the gfx card is the bottleneck.

So if v0.9.1 had been the latest release still I'd have said good gfx card is important but in v0.9.2 it's not nearly as important anymore. With PCSX2 v0.9.1 I was gfx card limited in perhaps 20% of my games with a bold guess despite running with low quality settings and having a 7900GTO 512MB overclocked past 7900GTX performance while with v0.9.2 it's 0%, CPU is always the limiting factor and I have a nice speedboost in the games that was previously limited by my gfx card. :)

Maybe in the future PCSX2 can be coded to use the other GPU to do some of the CPU's work, but that doesn't seem very likely
