View Full Version : Not a problem, probably

I don't know if this is a problem, but I'll post it anyway:

I have a genuine copy of "Disney's action game featuring hercules". I created an ISO (not a .bin) using "MagicISO" to my computer and used the SCPH1001 BIOS with the pSX. The game plays fine, only when loading, it skips all the intros, and the speed is higher which results, for example, when seeing the PS1 logo, the sound to be cut a little bit before its end. I don't know if this should be considered a problem, I'm just going to post it

Does the problem occur with the real cd?

Well the cut out sound on PS1 logo screen is normal (i mean it happens every time so i consider it normal).
Are there any issues while you are playing the game?

No, no issues, that's why I said it could not be a real problem. Could it be that I created a .ISO and not a .bin that is normally required? And does that problem in the during the PS1 logo occur to everybody?

I guess I'm also gonna try the real cd and see if it persists

pSX Author has already said that this "PS logo screen" behavior is known and considered normal.

Very true. It's been said that it happens because pSX is actually executing faster than the original Playstation. Loading from CD, it'll load a *little* slower (depending on your drive and speed settings), but it'll still happen.
