pSX is a really good emulator, but EPSXe has a better computability and the possibility of improving the graphics of the games. ePSXe is going to need a better computer to run it, but the results are worth it. Also, many people find ePSXe harder to configure because of the plugin system, but I don't think it is that hard at all.

-With Psx you really have the impresion to play psx.The emulator has been designed for being simple.
-With Epsxe you got the possiblity to radically improve games graphisms.but you 'll need to learn hot to configure it and how to use the added features with the plugins (Shaders for example)
Personnaly I use Epsxe coz as said GaveUpTomorrow it got a better compatibility.

This has been discussed over (http://forums.ngemu.com/everything-else-psx/78342-best-emulator.html) and over (http://forums.ngemu.com/everything-else-psx/78533-best-psx-emulator.html). Neither of them are better than the other, they are for different purposes.

The only thing I would add to this is... give it time. While ePSXe is pretty much a dead project, pSX is very much alive and kicking. I would say that it hasn't even come close to the peak of its life yet...
Probably no more than a few months down the road, pSX will surpass ePSXe in terms of compatibility. Which will completely equal out the issue... meaning the choice will come down to accuracy/compatibility vs enhancement. The time is near...
For now, I'd say to everybody... get both emulators and try them for yourself. It's not like you have to make a decision with your money here or something. It's gonna come down to personal preference, and even just talking about compatibility, both emulators can play games that the other can't, properly or at all.

Wrong! Xebra kicks ePSXe ass. Xebra is better than pSX also! :thumb:
Again, pSX is a really good emulator, but EPSXe has a better compitability however Xebra has an even better and more compitability than the both of them.
