How to not get a laggy game

Hi im new to this emulator just got it today but anyway i put my final fantasy disk into my computer and started playing it fine no lag or anything but then i convert into ISO or whatever and when i load it up it lags about every 5-10 secs during the cutscene it will lag. Lags also in the gameplay. What can i do to fix this? BTW i use isoloader to just convert it.

Try to make na ISO following this guide (http://forums.ngemu.com/everything-else-psx/34515-how-make-perfect-backup-psx-games.html).
When you are done just use an emulator built-in ISO feature to play the game.

what are your computer specs? pSX should run fine on most systems, but you know just in case you have like a P1....
