There are A LOT of threads about it. Why we don't have a thread stickied? Where we can say "Thanks, great job", "Keep the good job", "PCSX2 is the best" "Thanks PCSX2 team"....

That's not a bad idea actually. I see so many threads created for thank-yous every week...but hey, we have something to be thankful about. :) (Even though my computer doesn't have near enough power for pcsx2).

well i think this actually engourages the coders and functions as a weekly reminder that thier work is indeed appreciated and has not gone unnoticed. Just saying but if i was a coder, i would rather not have a sticky and would personally prefer to have these threads pop up every once in a while.
edit: plus its a break from all the "i need help" threads

I think that because of all those "i need help" forums, we can clearly assume that the project hasn't gone unnoticed or forgotten. Just due to the fact that there are so many people asking for help with the project shows that they are interested. :p
I think they know how much we love their work though ;)

you guys have done insanely excellent work. Why doesn't the team have a big donation link on the front page? I bet after the next release you guys would get enough money to start buying newer rigs to test the emu on. If I was wealthy I would buy all the devs C2D setups just for work they've put into this emulator. Not stopping when everyone else gave up or said it wasn't possible.

Attached a map of PCSX2.net Visitor Locations, this map is a general overview of main cities and towns that visit. Note the super sized marks, these are the heaviest locations in terms of visits.
Super Dots (in alphabetical order).
Beijing (China)
Buenos Aires (Argentina)
Madrid (Spain)
Moscow (Russian Federation)
Santiago (Chile)
São Paulo (Brazil)
Tokyo (Japan)
We have had visitors from Iceland and even more remote locations, such as Northen Mariana Islands - Saipan (hi!), and as marked on this map Honolulu! (over 400 hits).
Rare Locations (Sorted Rarest First)
Saint Pierre and Miquelon
Samoa
Montserrat
Vanuatu
Rwanda
We even get a few people out of the Vatican City (Hello your holyness!) It's somewhat amazing to see where people come from to visit PCSX2.net, heck we even get Canadians :p
This thread and the stats I collect via various means - really demonstrate the global appeal of this project, it's extremely nice to see such 'thanks' :)
Just as an aside, here's some info about some of our global user base!
Alas 1,104,833 Visitors used IE, with 578,503 Visitors using Firefox.
1,786,155 Visitors from windows OS based system (Of which 1,683,149 are using XP), 21,747 using Linux.
50% of visitors are using a 1024x768 resolution, 23% on 1280x1024. So much for 800x600 defacto design! (7.83% of the visitor base).
66.95% of visitors are on Cable/DSL, with 11.71% still on dialup!

Since I do not have the ability to donate money, I would also like to say thank you to the people working on this emulator. Your free time spent making this and making it available to so many people is very appreciated by myself, and clearly many other people. If you are doing this out of patronage or for yourselves is no matter for each individual on the project, the fact that there is work put into it by you and you make it available to all of us it what matters, thanks so much.

A big THANKS! to the devs from San Francisco:bow:
I can finally play some cool-ass PS2 only games
Already got Contra and Gradius 5 up and jammin'-
You guys rock, thanks a bunch for your hard work- And it's strange you know because I could've bought a PS2 and all the exclusive games for it I've wanted to try over the years (God of War, Shadow of the Colossus, Killer 7 + a few others) bought I knew sooner or later a working emu would come out and it seems just can't play games on TV's anymore- gotta have my high rez monitor up close, I've become too PC-ified I guess.
Oh, and off topic- check out my Killer 7 thread in case anyone could help me with the "can't ready weapon (R1)" bug I'm having. Kinda makes the game unplayable-
http://forums.ngemu.com/pcsx2-official-forum/81035-killer-7-prob.html
Games looks, well, killer though, really cool art style- I'll post some pics in the screenshots thread after this-

PCSX2 team, you are a great indeed team which has managed to greatly emulate Sony's PS 2, an incredible console. You appear to be the only ones who have managed to do that, which proves that you are great. I will support you to the end, and if you'd do a PS 3 emulator, I'd seriously be in a great mood and post about 10 threads containing thank yous, and, besides that, I'd donate you 5 dollars (they're called lei here, and 3 lei = 1 dollar approximatively). Hmmmm... I'd donate you 1 or 2 dollars, but how can I do so? Tell me step by step. Oh, I forgot... Thanks from Romania, Bucharest!

I wanted to finally say thanks to the PCSX2 team. They have showed us that PS2 emulation is possible.
I can't wait to try PCSX2 once I finally build a new system.
I enjoyed trying out twisted metal black, and to my surprise I was able to get ingame and play, albeit some minor graphical glitches, and the slow speed due to my crappy system.
I had Twisted metal black running around 5-13 FPS at most on my Celeron D 330 @ 2.66 ghz, geforce FX 5500 OC, and 1024 megs of ram, using the VM Build.
It's getting better with every release, and I appreciate you take the time to code this for us emulation enthusiasts, although you're not obligated to. I thought those of you who worked so hard coding a magnificent piece of work, deserved thanks on this.
Take care, and remember you got fans who appreciate you and you're work:D

My SECOND ps2 has now started to overheat (my first ones dvd laser wore out). So this ps2 emulator is my new hope. (also because of the next gen ps2's will stop being manufactured). So i will be able to play my ps2 games without having to worry about the console waring out.
You guys have made good progress so far, and i hope one day, pcsx2 will match the actual ps2 in performance:thumb:

November 30th, 2006, 21:06
My brother sold my FFX disc for drugs (i think, or it got lost), and i've been dying to play it forever. I would have bought a copy, but im leaving 500 miles from my ps2 in a few months to go to college.
With the release of 9.2, i can play FFX with speeds of 30-68fps. It uses all my CPU, and the slowdown is annoying, but I'm very greatful that it's actually possible to play what i own when i can't have it.
Also, I stopped coming here a while ago because I heard there was going to no longer be support for single core HT processors. I dont know how many people are out there than have working single thread HT processors that are fast enough to run FFX like mine does (it's currently overclocked to 3926Mhz), but I really appreciate keeping the HT support.
You guys are the greatest, keep it up!

Hey guys,
Thanks for an awesome piece of emulation software. I have FFX running (Slowly, but definitely playable) on my Celeron 3.06G with only 512MB ram and a 256MB card (forget which one). I can tell by reading the forums that it's not the easiest thing to get working, so i'm really grateful :)
Keep up the good work guys.

I too thank you for the good work u´re making with pcsx2

to emulate ps2, I´d searched a lot and found nothing and now, in the end of 2006 when the sony where launching the ps3 I remenber there was a project
if emulator of ps2 and went look again for it I discovered that u were so advanced that the emulator can already run a lot of games.
