Problems with Final Fantasy 8

Can't seem to load ff8 in pSX 1.8
I got the original german version of it and with the disc inserted it runs just fine but i prefer to use the iso, and that one won't load. I think i also remember that for Epsxe you needed a ppf patch or so, but how do i use them with pSX 1.8? I've made the image using Isobuster 1.9 with the RAW extraction method (iso/bin)

Forgot to mention that the image runs fine in Epsxe, even without a ppf patch

Yes, you can find the patch here (http://www.ngemu.com/misc.php?action=ppf), use the program called ppf-o-matic to apply the patch to the image.
