Error loading game

Ok so i have an iso image of the game, (not saying downloaded, so dont jump on me) and when i go to run it using default plugins it says could not open "Filepath" Eerror Opening CDVD Plugin, i've go tthe console open and all i really see is Patch file for this game not found, can't apply any patches, I'll reinstall, if someone can give me FROM SCRATCH instructions on how to get this to work... i can give you my DirectX info too if it helps, dual core proc and geforce 7600gt here

Well i've tried them all but to no avail, i started to use EFP Polling CDVD Driver 0.4.0 and it got to the PlayStation 2 screen and the console read that it was reading at 2x while it was loading the ps2 logo, and at the time it was incredibly laggy, then it went away and started to load the game, it says in console DVDRead: Reading Sector ######## Blocks of size 2064 at speed=4x it floods the console with that and then it says the program has encountered and error and needs to close im using a virtual drive to mount the image, is this bad? will i need to burn it to a cd to play?
