Whenever i try to run ape escape on pSX, it gets to the dualshock required screen then freezes up, and the log window repeats a message that says "r3000: executed illegal opcode 62041108". the game runs with EpsxE just fine but my left/right axis on my right thumb stick on my xbox controller doesnt work for that emulator so this is my only hope. somebody please help!!!!!!

you're asking the wrong questions ;)

instead of asking why Ape Escape doesn't work on pSX, you should get your 360 controller to work with ePSXe. i believe the latter will be much easier; i'm not even sure if Ape Escape works with pSX.

go here for some links. (http://forums.ngemu.com/922049-post7.html) what you need is xbcd.

I have an Xbox360 controller and was wondering what controller plugin you would use to play Ape Escape.

well for one, pSX and ePSXe don't support external controller plugins.

and secondly, keep it to one thread (you already made your own thread about it). don't hijack others' threads.

haha i beg to differ. the controller works perfect with pSX. and as a matter of fact, i am NOT using an xbox 360 controller but a STANDARD XBOX CONTROLLER. stop tellin me what i should do and reply when you know what im talkin about because you guys get really annoying when you sound like you know what you're talkin about

ditto to you. hey, i'll restate what i said before, with a bit of emphasis.

well for one, pSX and ePSXe don't support external controller plugins.

did i ever say that these emulators don't support controllers? nope, i said plugins. they have their own built in pad support and don't support plugins. second of all, i wasn't even addressing you. my entire post was addressing CaptainISO.

and GOSH OMG WTF I ACCIDENTLY MISINTERPRETED XBOX AS XBOX360 KILL ME NOW PLZ I AM A BURDEN AND A SHAME TO THE ENTIRE INTERNET COMMUNITY.

if you want help...you probably shouldn't act like a jackass. just a thought.

haha if you're experienced as you say, then you know that a misinterpretation
could mean the difference between sucessfully modding an xbox and ****in it up, and that goes for everything in computers so that statement was just retarded and as for me bein a jackass, im gettin annoyed because people dont know what im talkin about when i put every single detail into my first post. so dont call me a jackass until you know what im about. i asked for help nicely but someone *cough* hushypushy *cough* has to come on my thread soundin like king dip****. go gargle some peanut butter n **** off

you put every single detail into your first post eh? so i'm guessing that you were expecting a perfect solution in the first response?

anyway, read the last line from my previous post. read it over and over. good luck finding any help with your excellent attitude.

Just because your Xbox controller works with other games in pSX doesn't mean it'll work with EVERY game. Nothing is perfect in life. I can get my pad to rumble great in Gran Turismo 2 in ePSXe, yet I can't get it to work in FF8. I'm sure that if I put effort into setting up another emulator with a pad plugin, it would work fine as well.

Well, you can go on all day about what ifs, but when it comes down to it, there isn't much of a difference that misinterpreting the controller would have had. You brought up Xbox modding. That has nothing to do with what controller was mentioned and is obviously on a different level, so it's all irrelevant.

Also, your crappy attitude really sucks. You came here for help, and we tried to provide it. You misinterpreted a post that was intended for another member, and refused to admit your mistake when it was pointed out. You don't pay us to support the emulators you use. We don't owe you a thing. We also don't have to tolerate your attitude. Keep it up and you will find yourself with a one way ticket out of here quickly.
