DW7 and ePSXe SPU

Has anyone here tried playing Dragon Warrior 7 using the ePSXe SPU? If you did, did you experience the same weird sound like machinegun fire whenever you open doors in houses? :confused:
I'd like to use Eternal for this game too, but it degrades the performance too much for my system.

hey why not try the prodigy spu it doesnt require lot of cpu power

another spu plugin that has lower cpu consumption is petes midas,null2 and seal(buggy)

Where can you find the Prodigy SPU? At this point I'm desperate to try ANYTHING to get FF9 to work good! (see my signature if you can't figure out why!)
