Need savestate help

So, I'm playing Valkyrie Profile on PSX Emulator. The post-Gandar battle dialogue in Chapter 7 causes the game to freeze, when the audio and text become desynched.

I don't have any memory card files, as I was unable to make the game pick up my memory card to save with. I have a savestate, but it's too far in to try and save at a save point.

Is there any way I can use a PSX savestate on another emulator? Either through converting it to another filetype, or just using a different emu?

cant convert save states, but you can move memory cards between different emulators.
