starting the month..
This day had to come someday.
We are very afraid to tell you that our Munich headquarter had to close it's doors. Because the last Dreamcast game Under Defeat came out a few days ago there is no need to push any more efforts into the Dreamcast scene.
To face the facts, the scene is slowly dying, we have no menpower neither for the website nor the public activites left, and the outgoings are much more than people have ever donated.
We wish you the best from our hearts and good look for you for the future. There actually is more than just videogames and the Dreamcast scene.
...and I hope you realized that you've been fooled! Yeah, it's the first April of course.
Even if we won't break up and are very motivated, this statement above gave us a little bit of pain in our hearts. Even if we are motivated to continue the work with Dreamcast-Scene, participating at several events and keep the database going, we have some problem.
Yes, we invest much more capital than we get in and even pay it from our own wallet.
Yes, we are short on menpower because the main core team has very much to do in their other jobs and we would appriciate new members.
But also positive points can be made...
Yes, we are working on a new database / Wiki system and a redesign.
Yes, we are going to fly to Hong Kong next month to get into business negotiations with companies to support us.
Yes, await scenedicate #2 to come!
No, Under Defeat wasn't the last Dreamcast game, we got the confirmation directly from Milestone Inc.
No, the scene isn't dying.
Yes, we will be there a long time for you.
Our best wishes...
MetaFox, Kingbuzzo and Max
