Nachbrenner sent me a PM a few days ago detailing a set of patches he's worked on, these will allow any region version of Final Fantasy X to load gamesaves from the US NTSC version of Final Fantasy X.

read the patch making guide, it tells you there, but you can skip the bit for actually finding the code, just read the bit on CRC etc :)

Patches are for loading and saving!
Actually i recommend that everybody uses american saves, so they can be shared amongst PCSX2 users easily.

The original japanese release has a different program core, hence not compatible.

activated it just tell me that in the memory card there aren't FFX-2 savegames!!!!
It doesn't work... I'm sure that in my memcard file there are lots of FFX-2 Savegames... Even

If the italian save stopped loading, it means the loading path has changed somehow.
Try this american save:

Nope... It doesn't work..... The game just tell me that there aren't FFX-2 savegames in memory card... But if I delete the patch, the games load an italian savegame and freeze after loading!!!!! :cry:

Sorry but i have the belgian version of FFX ( in french ) and the France patch doesn't work :???: . Could you make a patch for this version please :wub:

FFX-Jap can't inside game.
It always enter endless-loop when play intro movie....-_-!!

Thats what happens to some people.. Dont worry.. Besides u can even get ingame.. Use a game save if u want to get any further. ;)

To those people who can't find these to work, the memory addresses might be different as if you are running a different version of PCSX2, since the memory addresses might have gotten swapped during version upgrade, you can try the older version to load, save again, then load in the new version if you don't want to find it in the new version.

However, I'm not 100% positive about this XD, but this is accurate for most emulators :p

I am using PCSX2 v 0.9.4, and I found the following to work for loading U.S. saves into the UK version:

I hope this helps anyone who was having trouble getting the patch to work.

I have a further question: Once I have loaded a U.S. save into a U.K. game, is there any way to "hot-swap" the patch so I can save it as a PAL game? Secondly, I noticed that the sphere grid is still the original U.S. version without the added abilities. Is there any way to fix this? (I realize I cannot switch to the Expert Grid in an already created game. I am referring to the extra nodes that were added to the Original Grid to accommodate the new abilities.)
