How does the thread rating work?

How is it implimented? Can we search threads based on ratings? What is it used for exactly?

Once enough votes have been cast for the thread rating, you may see a set of stars appear with the title of the thread in the thread listings. Ah, I guess ratings have to be turned on before you can see ratings for a forum. That's probably why no one saw them before. ;)

My suggestion,
Take a green herb if its slightly red.
A mixture of green and red for caution state.
You need first aid if its danger. (completely red)

Or better, use a cheat code "status always fine".

click your (or my, or somebody else's) profile...under the bar it says (x votes)...click that. If it's below 3 you can't click on it.

Actually I think where it shows last rating it means thats the last rating YOU gave that person. Yourself included. Like I voted one person a 2 after he gave me a crap rating then realized what a jerk he always is to me, usually not on the board, so I changed it to a 1. If you try that you'll see it change. SO If you know who voted you low, like this person did to me, then you can go change or add your vote :D

I personally feel that if the rating sysytem stays then it should also show the average rating a person receives. Cause as of right now it seems like everyone has green or rainbow. All the rainbows look the same.

It should indicate the value of the posts of specific posters. However, the way it is implemented, it's worthless, considering nearly every person rated has a 4 rating.

As I thought, you CAN get a 2 rating and still have a full green bar. This isn't what I left the vote as for the person, but I'm just showing you it's possible. For what it's worth, a 1 rating also left the person a green bar. So it's very much possible to get a green bar, it's all down to the number of votes.
