I may be posting in the wrong forum if so sorry couldn't find a better spot. i've been playing ff8 and it worked great on these settings but now when i try to run ff7 it has some minor glitches in it like parts of the screen just go haywire ( best way i can describe it) so if anyone knows some better settings i'd be very appreciative (i'm using disc not iso) these are the current settings

first of all put FPS limit to 60...

and anyway, just try the nice preset see how it goes.

65 could be nice if he likes a slight increase in speed though :)

With FF9 I used to play on 60 fps (instead of Pal 50) whenever I was having a lot of random encounters.

ok for one 5 fps is not much, that's like an 8% speed increase. big deal. also, i've heard of a lot of people who complain of problems when the FPS limit is adjusted wrong.

not to mention, it's extremely easy to just unlimit FPS when there are lots of random encounters--that's how i level up in FF7. fighting battles at 300 fps ;)

That last thing just made me realise I have the pc version and frameskipping isn't possible. I still remember my 100 hours savefile with all the leveling done in that one. Too bad I lost it :(

That's the one thing that sucks with frameskipping: The timer that keeps track of the amount of hours invested in the game.

not really, it shows you how much time you would've wasted ;)

one of my friends got cloud, barret, and red XIII all to level 99, beat emerald and ruby, and mastered all the materia on ePSXe. but here's the great part--he was playing on an IBM thinkpad with a 1.2ghz celeron, the older generation of intel integrated graphics, and 120mb of RAM, AND he was playing off the CD drive (which is horrible on a laptop). every battle and every new scene was a long loading time because it had to re-spin up the CD. and unlimiting FPS, of course, wouldn't do anything (i dont know if he even knew how to do that).

and that is the guy that got me into PSX emulation for the first time (no foolies.)

thank you very much hushy the nice setting worked though some of the brighter colored things in the screen flash on occasion it's not bad and i like the idea of leveling up with the fram skipping that just might make the game go by much faster lol :D
