If you using GSdx9 try to raise the brightness on your monitor,on GSdx9 it's little dark :p

Hi there, i'm new here... well, i wanna ask anyone that have a formatted PCSX2 memory card Mcd001.ps2 & Mcd002.ps2 as i can't format it by memory manager and my bios is running too slow under 5-fps. One more issue is that when i'm running DDRMAX using PCSX2 it says no 8MB PlayStation 2 memory in slot 1, please reset or turn off the system. What did i do wrong? Please guide me in fixing this problem. Thanks in advance*^_^*

Direct links from this site aren't working,the save that you want it's placed in Max Drive Save (North America) selection but basically it's for the japanese version.

Here I put both save from Max Drive Save (North America) because You didn't say for what version you want(just delete the one that you don't want for the PS2 browser)

I use UltraISO to create ISO with saves and use Linuzappz ISO also to exit just press escape after the transfer is finished.

No, I compared the save to one for disc 1, that part's definitely correct. I've no idea why it would load only in the browser but not in the game. I guess I'll have to try to figure something else out. Thanks for your time and effort, however.

Some games can't use the memory cards because of bug with the emu maybe this is one of them

Ok, right now I am trying to figure out why my saves wont copy. I can get all the way to the CDFS:/ copy everything i need and then when i select mc0:/ or mc1:/ it locks up, any ideas?

1.Download the save
2.Open it with PS2 Save Builder copy the Root/ID select all files right click on them and choose extract,create new folder with the Root/ID name and extract the files there.
3.Open your ISO creator(I use Ultra ISO) drag-drop the folder with the files that you create and save as ISO
4.Make sure that your memory card's are formated or not damaged(run the bios and format the memory card if it's needed(maybe your memory card are not formated and thats why you can't save)
5.Open PCSX2 choose for video plugin ZeroGS,choose for CDVD Linuzappz ISO and configure Linuzappz ISO to load the ISO that you create(if you don't choose the ISO or the correct plugin PCSX2 will freeze when you try to enter in CDFS) .
6.File=>Open ELF and open Boot.elf
7.Choose Select: Config and press O,press O again on Default: go to MISC/ press O choose FileBrowser and press O again to return to Button Settings,then go to Ok and press O.
8.Now Choose Default: FileBrowser and press O,go to CDFS:/ and press O select the save and press R1 and choose Copy,return to .. and press O go to mc0:/ press O press R1 and choose Paste,wait the save to be copied and you are done

I do all this for maximum 5 minutes

Well I just put the save into the memory card run the game and the game automatically start checking the memory card and load the save(the card MUST be on the first slot,check you settings under Config=>Memcards and select the card that I give you as first memory card).Then when the New Game and Continue appear I just select Continue and the game runs with everything unlocked.Check your controller settings too maybe you cant move.

I have the USA version and it works with this save

Because it's not the same game. Be sure your game ID is the same as the save file, then it can be load.

Hehe I made a new record...put the save form the cd to the memory card for less that 10 seconds :p

Yes if the files are Japanese so you have the Japanese version and you need saves for that version

Here are your saves but the first one was unknown files type to the program so I choose the most same save

Something very confusing is that there are more than 1 type of American version. There's like X-port, sharkport, codebreaker, and Maxdrive.

No are not different "American" versions,they are just different format.If you have X-port(cheating device...it's a program for PS2) you'll download save for him because he read that format,if you have CodeBreaker(cheating device) you will download CodeBreaker saves because he read saves for CodeBreaker and so on.

You only need to know what version of the game you have,every format from this site can be converted with "PS2 Save Builder"(actually you need to extract the data and save it to folder with correct name and but that folder to ISO)

I put saves to my PS2 in almost the same way(I'm using USB flash drive rather than ISO like on PCSX2)

I use UltraISO and it's not a file,its folder(I kinda think you mess the things up somewhere)

As a suggestion, if you are going to do a simple guide, might not be a bad idea to include a section mentioning mymc. Even if it is alpha[1], it lets you get a Max or EMS format save file on or off a pcsx2 memory card without fiddling with isos.

a) PS2 Save Builder is Windows-only. mymc runs on Linux as well.
b) mymc copies the savefile straight into the pcsx2 memorycard. No isos, no booting from elf files. (on the pcsx2 side, anyways)
c) mymc provides a way to copy the savefiles back out again as well.

OTOH, it doesn't support nearly as many file formats as the other method, is command-line only, and is alpha, so both have their uses.

No idea, just never thought that 2 saves can be stored in a memory card. I mean I know there is enough space for it, but I don't know how to unless you change the save location in-game.

Here are the two methods to put saves

Using PCSX2 and PS2 Save Builder

1.Download your save from here (http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/)
2.Open it with PS2 Save Builder copy the Root/ID select all files right click on them and choose extract,create new folder with the Root/ID name and extract the files there.
3.Open your ISO creator(I use Ultra ISO) drag-drop the folder with the files that you create and save as ISO
4.Make sure that your memory card's are formated or not damaged(run the bios and format the memory card if it's needed)
5.Open PCSX2 choose for video plugin ZeroGS,choose for CDVD Linuzappz ISO and configure Linuzappz ISO to load the ISO that you create(if you don't choose the ISO or the correct plugin PCSX2 will freeze when you try to enter in CDFS) .
6.File=>Open ELF and open Boot.elf
7.Choose Select: Config and press O,press O again on Default: go to MISC/ press O choose FileBrowser and press O again to return to Button Settings,then go to Ok and press O.
8.Now Choose Default: FileBrowser and press O,go to CDFS:/ and press O select the save and press R1 and choose Copy,return to .. and press O go to mc0:/ press O press R1 and choose Paste,wait the save to be copied and you are done.

Using Mymc

This program is extremly easy to use

Importing:
Open cmd(Start=>run=>cmd) drag-drop the mymc.exe add space(press spacebar ones) drag-drop your memory card add space write import add space and drag-drop your save that you whant to put into your memory card,and that's it :)
Here is an example:

Exporting:
Before exporting something you must know the name of the save

You must remember the name in left(starting with B).

After you know the name it's time to extarct.
Open cmd(Start=>run=>cmd) drag-drop the mymc.exe add space(press spacebar ones) drag-drop your memory card add space write export and add the name of the save
It will export the save into(I don't know why there,maybe I'm not doing something right) C:\Documents and Settings\Your account name like PSU format.
Here is an example:
"C:\Program Files\Mymc\mymc.exe" "D:\Games\Playstation 2\memcards\Mcd001.ps2" export BASLUS-20488-0000D

If you want the save to be exported as MAX(Action Replay MAX) you must add -m after export
Here is an example:
"C:\Program Files\Mymc\mymc.exe" "D:\Games\Playstation 2\memcards\Mcd001.ps2" export -m BASLUS-20488-0000D

In the attachments I put all the files needed,just download three archives and extract one of them(it's spitted archive)
The archive also contains a movie on how to put saves into PCSX2 memory card using the original method

Well they are japanese type(X and O are the other way around but you can change that).

Using Mymc is a lot easier,I even create file that when I double click on it put all AR MAX(.max) saves that are on my desktop into new memory card then move the memory card on my desktop and archive it so I can upload it directly.The only thing I must do now when I'm using Mymc it to convert the save using PS2 Save Builder to .max if it's some other format like Code Breaker...

figured out that save builder only can save it as cbs, and that's because cbs = saves, and cbc= cheat table (or you name it)

Well I can put save into memory card in 3 ways.
1.Using Mymc GUI.
2.Using Mymc command line tool.
3.Using pcsx2.

No you must copy the folder and it's contents,just highlight the folder with the save and press your button for R1 on it.

You want Metal Gear 3 but there are two problems first:
1.Metal Gear 3 Snake Eater or Metal Gear 3 Subsistence
2.What version of the game you have American,Japan or European.

I've had good luck transferring save games onto memory cards, however the version of the game I have seems not to work with any of the save games I've found on the internet,. I'm running Disgaea 2 (the download labels it as PAL/DvD) and the save games I've tried don't work. (I've even tried changing the emulators region/bios but that does really seem to do anything.)
I'm wondering if theres anyone out there that might have a few save games for the PAL version of Disgaea 2 for PS2.
Gamefaq has a bunch of save games, but they're US/Jap, and they do have EU game saves, but only for Disgaea 1.

I've had good luck transferring save games onto memory cards, however the version of the game I have seems not to work with any of the save games I've found on the internet,. I'm running Disgaea 2 (the download labels it as PAL/DvD) and the save games I've tried don't work. (I've even tried changing the emulators region/bios but that does really seem to do anything.)
I'm wondering if theres anyone out there that might have a few save games for the PAL version of Disgaea 2 for PS2.
Gamefaq has a bunch of save games, but they're US/Jap, and they do have EU game saves, but only for Disgaea 1.

That I give you is archive,just extract it and you'll see Mcd001.ps2 then open pcsx2 and select that memory card as first from Config=>Memcards=>Select Mcd and choose that memory card...if it's not working again then you have different version of the game or the save is not for you version of the game.

i think your right, the save i downloaded is not compatible in the game because the save i download is from north america and the game ffx international i think is japan because the language when i load the game is not english...

this time, i download save from japan.
pls convert it for the 3rd time..

umm when i goto open the mfds it just freezes and won't move. I have the ISO in the drive and it says its loading its blocks or something but it just freezes and then says loading block 0.0 really weird need help

Wrong game version,wrong save file,incorrect inserting the save into the memory card or incorrectly creating the ISO...if you want I can put the save into memory card for you

Probably a problem most people have when they think they have everything set up right. You're Cdvdrom must be set to Linuzappz Iso plugin.

Both saves that you want I put them into one memory card...if the save is not working that means you have different version of the game and on the site that was the only save for that game

I don't really understand what you mean....you follow the guide to put save into pcsx2 memory card but when you check the save that you import it appear corrupted...Am I right?

If so then you are doing something wrong during the process...here's one guide (http://forums.ngemu.com/1228298-post627.html) that I made if it helps or you can use Mymc (http://www.csclub.uwaterloo.ca:11068/mymc/index.html) but this program works only with psu and max type saves so if the save is different format you must use PS2 Save Builder to convert the save to max.

Select from pcsx2 configuration for CDVD plugin use CDVDnull,then go to File=>Run CD\DVD enter the browser and format you memory card.

Made a topic but I guess it couldn't hurt to post here also. Converted my Odin Sphere save data from my memory card using the guide. The emulator is able to read the save file but Odin Sphere isn't. I get an error saying I need to format the card. When I try to format it in game it says that memory card is not inserted. Can anyone help?

Those are 2 versions of the game...2 saves of the USA version and one of the Greatest Hits,I place one of the USA versions and GH into one card and the other save into other card

You have the usa version right,because on one of the saves it's named as eu but it's actually the usa version...both saves are for the usa version of the game
