Printer Problems

Anyone regognices the problem that my friend has?
When he tries print something (epson color 7??) it only prints
weird characters... it doesen't matter if we try print plain text or graphics... the drivers have been changed, cable checked, no virus... anyone know what's the problem? Window has probably messed up some drivers, but he wouldn't like to re-install...

The next thing that I'd check is the printers internal test page to chack to see if the printers to fault. I dunno how to do it on a 7XX but it should be explained in the manual. (normally hold down the power button for a few seconds)

well, epsons are quite picky. My epson stylus Photo 750 started printing weird stuff if i connected it before the PC booted ;) anyway, if u have Epson status Monitor try a visit there and see what the prog tells u

my hp printer used to do the same ?
it was all about the drivers but i couldnt fix the problem
untill i formated my windows
